Ferrari themselves allowed him the allocation and I'm pretty sure they're happy to see him in one

I see Hamiltion has been named PETA person of the year for his conversion to veganism.
Can't see that changing Sid's view of him too much ;)

That would be nice but not having my hopes too high. Some people can't see the forest for all the trees.

At the very least it takes some arguments out of their mouth if the former boss of Ferrari and main architect behind the glorious MS years at Ferrari himself acknowledges what has been obvious for some time: Hamilton is currently the best driver and would have won even in the Ferrari. It wasn't "just" the Merc.
Within the same interview he also went on to criticize Vettel for having made too many mistakes. Ouch and true.

I thought you were joking. Sigh. But perhaps LH really will move over to Formula E....it's all about saving the planet of course.

"For proving how powerful eating vegan can be – and encouraging people around the world to save the planet by ditching meat, eggs, and other animal-derived foods – newly crowned five-time Formula 1 world champion Lewis Hamilton has yet another title to add to his list of stellar accomplishments: PETA’s 2018 Person of the Year."

I think Hamilton is the best driver on the grid these days...and a Ferrari victory would be more likely with him at the wheel...but I voted no because I'd like to see Ferrari win with its current drivers because it builds the best car. I don't want them dragged onto the podium, I want them to dominate their way to the top.

As of this writing we are about 3 hours away from the 2019 Bahrain race. This Leclerc guy, who just last year I had no idea who he was and questioned whether he was good enough for Ferrari, has certainly not only proven his worth but the guy who set me straight in this blog about Leclerc was absolutely spot-on. My hat's off to you guys that saw the genius in Leclerc and his correct mating with the Ferrari team. It shows two things, 1...you guys have a very good sense of who is who in this profession and number 2... I really do have a lot to learn. Great call on this driver and I'll be looking forward to many more Ferrari wins in the 2019 race schedule

For me my opinion of not wanting Elton at Ferrari hasn’t changed however the reason why I don’t want him at Ferrari in fact has changed.

In the past I thought he was another Alonso with the bad attitude and much more trouble than his worth.

Now I think he has become mature and even has some class and my concern now is that he is soon past his prime. The sport as we have seen is going to the young. They have the reflexes and the proper resilience and determination.

Ferrari does not need him we have Charles Leclerc, time to focus on the future not the past. We saw the future today.

Jesus, can you imagine how bad it must be to have to sit in his car for two hours of a Grand Prix, with veggie farts going on..? That takes some dedication, Elton, I’ll give you that..... self torture by stink :)

I think it would be awesome if Hamilton & Vettel switch places. Hamilton retires at Ferrari, Vettel drives for the silver arrows.

Granted I would like to see Hamilton in a Ferrari but frankly after yesterday there is no more need. Leclerc is the future. Time to send Vettel packing or make it crystal clear that Charles is #1 so a thing like Melbourne is not going to happen again.

I agree. And have to tell you that although I'm not a Hamilton fan, I did think he showed a lot of class by coming over and giving Leclerc a hug and stating publicly that Leclerc has many races to win in his future.

Yeah Hamilton may have won the race, but it was Leclerc who won the hearts of all the viewers of the Bahrain race.

Why, what happened in Melbourne? Vettel was faster all weekend until he ran into technical problems... Without them there would have been no need to keep Charles behind. Charles was clearly faster yesterday but not in Australia!

No (still) and why would he want to finish his career having LEC clean his clock in equal cars ?
