Quite possible if big red gets the car right. Yeah.... they should have kept Kimi and put Vettel in the Alfa.
this.. i was screaming at the TV saying "don't apolgoize".. if I was Leclerc, I'd have walked into the paddock, head held high.. and told them "I delivered. All weekend. Pole position. Fastest lap. 10 seconds ahead of Hamilton. Get your s--t together fellas."
Right. The new guy is obviously a star. The press is raving over him. He almost won the race on only second start with the team whereas Vettel keeps embarrassing himself and all he says is we have 2 good drivers!
"~You have a you have real star in the making?" isn't really a difficult question...you can agree without slighting Vettel.... Sounded a bit of 'paranoid diplomacy' to me...
And what a stupid question from the announcers during the last few laps.. "who do you believe was the driver of the weekend.?.".. the answer he was looking for from the other announcers was Leclerc, but he didn't have to frame it like it wasn't plainly obvious
It’s a bit too early to say decisively however it may appear that Binotto should have retained his technical position and they simply should have gotten a team manager to handle press stuff etc. The Red Bull brain trust structure is what Ferrari should do.
English is his second language. I tend to give people a break over exact words in these cases. I don't think he was trying to protect Vettel's ego. Vettel knows what happened today - and all weekend for that matter.
Or, he could take the high road, which he did. The guy is neither a spoiled brat or a wanker. I'm very, very impressed how he carries himself.
Couldn't bear to watch the end...**** you Seb, another mess, and also Ferrari for piting him so late after Elton..Congrats to Chrles, he was the best thing today, the guy is soooooooooooooooooo good, just hope Ferrari doesn't screw his carrer like they did with Alesi. Also hope Binotto rethinks who they are going to support!...**** you toto!!
I think you may be correct. Leclerc is special, and is mature. The Ferrari is the faster car on a normal circuit, with reliability Mercedes should be very worried. Leclerc just needs to keep delivering and the team will be behind him. Mercedes was unbelievably lucky today and Toto and Lewis know this is true, bring on China! Forza Ferrari, Forza Leclerc!
Merck is blessed with reliability, that is proven. But a 10 second lead that just vanishes because of a hybrid power issue. That’s voodoo magic.
Charles deserves better leadership and respect for his effort. Vettel needs to leave. He 'peaked' the year before Ricci kicked him down the paddock to Ferrari Im very unhappy today but mechanical reliability is not there yet and was not in testing. The speed is there. Development is the key for the long term of course. A good day even with the disappointment for now. For now..... A good race to enjoy it was.
Excellent points. Binotto is not completely media savvy as of yet it seems. With time. His strength is technical management for now.
