I’m looking at a very early 94’ 456. It looks nice and is in Swatters blue. With the tan. Like the brochure. I do like it and it’s been well looked after. Only problem
It’s done 50k mIles (80 km) and he wants 97 gbp or 130 usd. I have known it since new and it was delivered to a serial ferrari owner etc.
personal too but I don’t like the tan as it looks average and too common ??
    Thanks for your input

Too much money for an early 456 GT.

That's 550 money. I would have thought about half that would be right.

I agree with Taz and John. Way too much for that car.

However, since mileage isn’t as big an issue in the UK, it's difficult to apply US market rules. That said, based on the info you’ve provided I think even half the asking price might be too much. I’d have to know more about the condition.

As for the color combo, I thinks it's fantastic:

Yep. Too much. Best estimate on my part would be, as others have mentioned, about half that ask. Great early 456 examples fetch ~$85k. But they are lower mileage. That mileage would discount that car here in the US to roughly equivalent to a 456MGTA at $60-65k. Just my guess....

Thanks killer I think your exactly right. America has totally different market and rules of the game .. not related to outside markets especially RHD markets..
A nice 550 will bring big money especially in the uk or I saw one in Australia sell for over 380k ( about 270 usd)..

John- The GTA did not come out until mid-1996. All the early ones like that are Motronic 2.7, no OBDII, no airbags and pretty steering wheel. The GTAs and contemporary GTs were 5.2.

Thanks, Terry, I didn't know that. So it's a manual, very nice, but the three examples I quoted are all manual, too, so I guess we are still looking at a car that is 100% overpriced.:(

£50K tops, IMO, though even that may be hard to justify when there appears to be a perfectly good car with similar mileage in generally popular colours at an asking price of £45K from a dealer who regularly sells these cars. Obviously I haven't seen either car, but the asking prices for lower mileage cars presently on the market in the UK also seem to point towards that £region for the car you have described. Prices for 456s rose rapidly in the wake of 550s recently, but the price rise has now run out of steam.
