My friends, hoping this may help somebody here. I saw this ad on Craigslist (and the town is close to me) I emailed the guy and found out he is a member here after a few days of not hearing anything I got this email: Hi Paul, I have tried to anticipate some questions... Manual or Automatic? It is an automatic. History? No accidents or body work. Very straight car. How long have you owned it? 5 years. Why are you selling the car? I will be 80 years old in June and ingress and egress is becoming more difficult. Miles on the car? 60K miles. When was the last belt service done...do you have service records? 10K miles ago approx 3 years ago...all belts... timing belts, alternator, water pump, A/C, power steering, all idler and tensioner pulleys. All records since delivery from Ferrari of Beverly Hills. Any deferred maintenance or needed repairs? Passenger window regulator is erratic and lifts unequally, needs replacement. Water pump is due for replacement...factory recommendation is 50K miles. Passenger seat back will not lean forward...pull cable is binding. Do you have books, keys? 1 black fob 3 keys. All books in like-new leather wallet... HiFi System; HiFi System warranty book; Alarm System Instruction book; Ferrari Sales and Service Organization Directory; Consumer Information Book; Consumer Information for air bag equipped cars, PIN number card, Warranty Card and Owner’s Service book;Owner’s Manual MY 1999. Do you have the original 17" Ferrari OEM wheels? No Current Novotec wheels have some curb rash, but can be easily restored. Do you have tool kit? No How is the leather on the seat bolsters, rear shelf, air bag covers, and dash...is there a lot of stretching? Overall leather is very good in all areas.Dash board is in excellent condition. Back shelf leather had shrunk badly. Replaced with black tuff fabric. Air bag cover had been removed and air bag structure finished with leather beading. Passenger side headliner sags about an inch over an area of about 4 inches.. I tried getting back in touch, and it would appear he has gone radio silent. - Although the car was relisted again as recently as 4/1 - so he is active as recently as Monday at least. Maybe he just doesn't like me? hahaha Just thought I would share, I think it can be talked down to low 30s given the mileage. Since we've seen similar cars (with 1/3 of the miles) sell last year for as low as 35, - 31, 32 is a fair price. Definitely shouldn't be more then 35 IMHO.
I bought the package deal and don't need the other 5. Selling them for $15 a piece. You give me VIN, I run the full report and email you the PDF file. Regular Price for Carfax is $40 per report. Paypal works! Just PM me
Just posted my 456 GT for sale here: https://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/threads/ferrari-456-gt-6-speed-manual.598672/ Ruben
Lovely!! I keep a register for all 456M cars in the US. If you wouldn't mind sharing data on the car for the register, I would be appreciative. VIN, engine #, assembly #, mileage, Daytona Seats, inserts, shields, paint color, interior color, piping, stiching, rotor color, dash and steering wheel color. These are the items I am tracking for each car in the register. Also happy to share the register with you if you have interest. Only 96 manual 456M cars came to the US over the 98-03 run of the model. Welcome aboard, you're going to love the car.
I would love to see the registry. I just purchased this car in Arizona. The previous owner finally came down significantly in price and I purchased it. Send me your email address and I'll forward the information you're looking for. Larry
The most recent FCA monthly bulletin has a 2002 456M GT, 42000 miles, supposedly well maintained for $48000 ???
As is often the case, more than a few listings fail to add the A. That is a rational price for a GTA with that mileage. If it truly is a 6-sp, then we're talking FIRE SALE!!
Not sure they made an M GT with an automatic? That ad merits follow up....agree that's a good price for that model. These cars fall all over the map pricewise when a mature owner decides to sell privately....maybe $48K is "all he needs"!!!
Noah- Here you go. 2002 456M GT, s/N 127059. Grigio alloy/crema. 48,200mi. Six-speed manual. Blue dash/steering wheel. Tubi + standard exhaust. Recent 45k service. All documentation, from original order, window sticker, all service info. All books, tools, literature. Car/seat covers. One-of-a-kind, originalowner car. $48,000. Anyone have any info on this GTM? https://www.carriagehousemotorcars.com/1999-ferrari-456m-gt--c-281.htm
Ex Ralph Lauren. When I talked with Carriage House about 18 months ago, they wanted $135k for the car.
Am I the only one who is really put off by the custom colored steering wheel? The color looks ok on the dash but the steering wheel just looks odd and out of place. Image Unavailable, Please Login
With the Verde Mugello exterior and the two tone interior, this is the "Hunt Club" motif. It does all seem to work yet the steering wheel does seem a bit much. What color should the wheel be to maintain coherency to the design and motif? Probably specified by Ralph Lauren this way so.....
What color for the steering wheel would you choose? This whole interior is in these two shades of brown, Daytona seats in the light color with the inserts in the dark color. I can't see a black steering wheel. It would just stick out horribly. Probably ever worse than the dk brn does. But what else could you put there?
