    It's riveted on from the rear and for safety reasons is a one-time fit. I'm not sure if replacement badges are available - I suspect not.

    Based on Mark's input I think the next best thing is just touch it up with touch up paint, then polish the paint.

    I would agree that it's probably on there to stay-- wouldn't want that thing flying off as the air bag explodes due to an accident.
    Get some vinyl pinstripe tape (3M blue) from an auto paint supply store. It can be curved really well to that outer circumference as well as being very thin. Use it as your masking tape. Touch up on it in place is probably the only alternative. Best of luck.
