I think they are and it's likely that Ferrari keep using them on future models, even if the P80's look pretty cool (they looked great on the FXX-K too) Image Unavailable, Please Login
I feel the J50 front and line around the whole car, Definitely Targa and more like the Battista side air intakes and interior with heads up display. Wonder if it will have a name or numbers. In the 9's looks reasonable give probable power . But since Porsche use the 9's I doubt Ferrari would.
Roof line is hard to predict. This one is for sure is either a targa or the spider version. Assuming there is a hardtop version, it might make sense that they are testing the open version as this is the less rigid design, especially if it hasn't got a CF tub, according to some ;-) Or maybe there will be only the targa version as hinted (?) by Ferr9000 and which would be consistent with the recent J50, the F80/C (also in line with hints from Ferr9000) and the Ferrari patent for airflow management with a targa top posted here recently. Looking at the pics of the prototypes a couple of things look pretty certain for me; 1/the windshield will not be the wraparound/visor type as seen on the J50 and F80/C but looks to be a continuation of the arched side window tradition dating back to the Dino, BB, etc.; 2/ the doors do not look to be gullwing/scissor type as evidenced by the split line at the door leading edge. The shape of the split line is a good indicator of the body side surfacing as it's practically a section cut. There would appear to be a line below the beltline, starting in the door and leading to the rear fender where it will presumably hide the engine/cooling inlet. The "scoop" will probably have some sort of superimposed "blade" type appendage to delineate the opening. Again, the line leading to the rear scoop would be consist with Ferr9000's hint that the car also has some elements of the Pininfarina Battista. For sure the camo on the roof is puffed up either due to air flow or some padding underneath so I can't really predict at what height the white wing-like appendage is at - is it the roof trailing edge (it would look to be a continuous 3-sided feature) or some other wing-like device below the trailing edge of the roof? So deployable like the F80/C? Image Unavailable, Please Login
The BB is suppose to be launched next month So I highly doubt it's testing instrumentation This looks more like a well wrapped finished car to me
Would be really nice if the side of body looked like the Monza and with the same outside mirrors. If you imagine the base of the mirror on the Monza sited lower down and in line with the lower crease leading back to the rear fender, this would work very nicely on the BB as imagined. The crease would be emanating from the base of the mirror while the front fender crown would flow back to define the lower window opening. Image Unavailable, Please Login
If they're testing they're probably gathering data on something. Here's a picture some instrumentation routed along the outside of the bodywork. In this case this a wheel torque sensor (which the BB prototype doesn't have) but could be recording some suspension parameters on BB. I don't think that ridge is a crease or opening in the bodywork as it clearly causes a discontinuity in the wheel lip which would not be a desired design feature.

I agree 100%...many people look down on the Portofino...I drive one every day for a few months now and it is a superb car. Clearly it was developed to do a different job compared to a Pista, but it performs its role incredibly well Sent from my iPad using FerrariChat
Does anyone know more about this?? https://www.thesupercarblog.com/ferrari-is-building-a-modern-testarossa-with-a-1000-hp-v12-engine/
Or that, but I was thinking of a LaFerrari successor. If it's an icona car, it could be a NA V12, which would be the bomb.
The article is a year old maybe there sources are out of date But all recent leeks suggest turbo V8 Hybrid
