    Anyone ever try repairing the catalyst ecu's

    Nope. They are totally potted so it is hard to get into the electronics. Buy new ones.

    There was another post here of repairing the 355 cat ecus and just wondering if anyone tried it on the 348 catalyst ecu.
    I know they are potted but there was pictures where he grounded the plastic in the back and revealed the circuit. Removed some of the silicone and soldered the bad grounds and it worked again.
    Just wondering about the 348 and if they are the same in the back side as I would like to take a grinder to one and see. A failed unit of course.
    They are becoming more experienced in at around the 500 dollar mark and if they can be repaired then why not. That's if you still run with then cats.

    I have tried, there is no way you can access the electronics in the 348 cat ECU. The internals are sealed in either epoxy or some other hard compound, not in silicone.

    I have a 355 but if its all ready not working that is exactly what i would do and it might fix it. I also have repaired a 355 tcu

    That fix may not necessarily be the problem either.

    Exactly but a cheap try.
    What Bob will tell you and he is correct
    Probe the wires for realtime data.
    Or you can make some guesses
