ived noticed on several random occasions that my car when driving just around 30-40kmh on city streets when floored to overtake slower cars do not react as expected. it feels as if it takes the car a second or two to react.

Ff does same thing and if you floor it completely it downshifts to an incredible low gear and then reacts

Don’t be lazy and pull the left paddle a couple of times (downshift) while flooring it.

It's a finely tuned instrument that need playing not just using. I had about ten guitars when I was young....................none of them worked yet Hank Marvin bought one and it worked straight away.....funny that?

Thats pretty funny. Squeezing a paddle makes it what? Manly? Its still automatic. Auto in FF is as good as anything else.

N/A engine, the higher torque comes only at higher revs so the car driven in a city at low speeds, high gear (3rd or 4th at 30mph )will not react as quickly as turbocharged one like a Conti GT or any AMG.
Using paddles, you can keep the gears lower then Auto would and have the reaction from the engine immediately.

No, it's not. It's a dual clutch semi-automatic transmission, primarily designed for manual operation. The auto function is just an added feature.

Or indeed our own Lusso V8TT ;)

Seriously though I agree with the above comments that its more likely the gear box in auto mode being in too higher gear, maybe it would be less likely to be so in "sport" with "bumpy road" engaged for ride comfort?
If not just pull the paddle marked "down" and it will drop a gear even in auto, or better still just drive in "manual".

Can see your point but I think if it has cogs in the gear box and not a torque converter, it’s a manual

there is zero difference between 100 percent throttle in auto and 100 percent throttle using your hand - so why use ur hand?
and oh it sounds better in auto downshifting, bigtime

@ttforcefed are you double or triple clicking the paddles? I find that's much faster than auto for sensing what gear I wanna be in to over take and get into rev range

Yes it does feel slower than other ferraris when its in traffic probably due to its long gears and power band. if you want it stays within the instant power, drive it in manual so you can keep the rev around 2500-3000 rpm.

    i. Because you can upshift when you want to.
ii. The manual downshift blips are just about the same.
