I drank from the water hose as a kid. I'm still here. Maybe they should regulate "big gulps?"

Wade, you need to explain yourself.

The Teflon inner lining of the aluminum washers above does not seem to do a very good job of sealing anything in. What is it doing there?

All I'm saying is if the washer actually contains actual "teflon", then that could be the reason for the price increase.

However, if the manufacturer of the washers replaced the Teflon with an "environmentally preferable alternative" then there's your reason (most likely) for its sub-par performance. Price increases are expected for that as well (material substitution costs).

Uhhh...are those for the banjo bolts on the tranny/heat exchanger? I think I paid $9 apiece. Where are they 30?

No, those are the big banjo bolt o rings on the side of the engine going to the side of the oil tank. The hose that is hardest to change. It is so difficult to change that when you are wrestling with the attachment, you often rip out the Teflon lining from the o rings.

The little orings at the gearbox is indeed $10 each which is still outrageous for an aluminum seal ring.

    Zero...zip...nada.

    Plain copper washers work perfectly.

Fixing non existent problems is something Ferrari excels at.
