    Anyone found a x-reference to a 'cheaper' car that uses our oil pressure sender / transmitter part# 135940? Mine has just failed and I have a gut feeling that most of the £100 that I will spend on it will be F-tax...

    VDO makes the sender, there is a lower cost option from them, but I believe you need an adapter. I have the part number, just not handy at the moment.

    I’ve just bought a new one but a bit too previous as I cleaned the contact on it and it’s fine now.
    This is my second or third in 7 years and they are junk items. I did find an alternative VDO part but as above you need a bush to fit the thread and my OCD wouldn’t allow it,
    If you search in google I think you’ll find my thread from 5-6 years ago as I did last week. I can’t post a link as I don’t think this forum allows linking to any competition

    Great, thanks guys. One more question, is there only a single wire going to it? There are 2 terminals so I thought 1 wire may have fallen off...

    Yes, 1 wire. One contact is the signal, the other is ground, connected directly to the body of the sender, DO NOT GET THEM MIXED UP.. The sender is grounded by the motor,you can use a ohm meter to check continuity to see out which is which. Might also want to consider this, may take some of the heat off the sender and prolong the life;

    For info, MerlinMotorsport do the VDO sensor with M18x1.5 thread, which I believe is what is required on the 360? Part # 360081030070
