I guess it is a matter of choice. I don 't like the F40's undesteer on corner entry, its oversteer when the turbos kick in and certainly its mediocre brakes. If the F40 was the pinnacle of supercars, they would still make them like that... The F50 is 2 times better, the Enzo 5 times and the LaFerrari 10 times so!!!

So I was the passenger on a number of occasions. I found the car very good and crazy fast and the hybrid in the city was great as no noise in traffic. However I found the drive (in fast corners and mountain passes) quite rough and the car bounced around quite a bit. So for my purpose (I was in a 488GTB) it was a bit too rough and seemed a bit disjointed i.e. when the ICE engine kicked in. I just preferred the smoothies and "complete package" of the 488GTB. Thats why I tend to agree with day355 as even though it was very impressive I was happy to get back into my "normal" fcar
OK, finally had a few hours to put down all my thoughts about BB in some rough sketches. The one below is the only decent one I can show, though not very good. All the talk of square lights made me do it so not my fault ;-) Image Unavailable, Please Login
29th and 30th are more detailed presentation for smaller groups, the 31st is supposed to be a big event with many costumers
I'm not saying that, I'm just saying I have a different opinion. Actually, I like all types of cars, heavy or not and powerful or not. The element that often allows me to choose (when the choice is too difficult) is the bodywork.
We have seen the side profile and there was no attempt to hide the side window glass or the very tall front windshield either. I think it will have a double bubble roof with all due respect to the amazing design skills of "ingegnere" showing a relatively flat roof treatment...
Touche! But its perfect for the ego and impress factor (err...except that part about "not limited numbers")
Yeah, with a tubular frame and the "marketing Kevlar glue".. Jokes aside, today many revere it as one of the greatest, even if some criticized back in the day. Always a pleasure to see your sketches. Would be nice if those who already saw the car could provide some inputs.
Is anyone planning on going to Maranello May 27-30? I cannot go so IF someone who is going, I would love one of these if they are offered... I'll find something interesting to trade / offer in return. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Absolutely not, I was agreeing with you when you said that the following halo cars (F50/Enzo/LaF) got progressively better. Edit: Maybe I should have put a smiling emoji at the end of the first sentence in my previous post. It was a joke about the old frame technology used on the F40 and since some were joking about Ferrari's """marketing""", I also made a reference to what Gordon Murray said about the exposed glue ("And then you have the marketing Kevlar glues in with a quarter inch of rubber") Hope it's clear.
