Exactly, but my point is if u were to sell it, which u won’t, someone would get a great car, better than most !

you did great on your car nat! the ones i saw for 90s needed a good 15k of work and one had a car fax history .i wanted a car that came off transport needed nothing drive it and not take to repair shop and get a 10/20k bill .your previous tr is beautiful well cared for ,i agree just because its advertised for 150k and one 100k doesnt mean the 150 k is better just maybe over priced .hope you and your family is doing great:)

Back in 2010 this is what one member said about tr prices on this thread.

one day we will all look back and say "remember when you could get a TR for under 40 grand!!! should have bought two!"......guaranteed!

Well he was right and we will look back one day and realize 100k was a good deal for a nice car. Wait and see.

As a new TR owner I sure hope that is the case, but we must remember that things were WAAAY different back in 2010. The SP 500 was 1/3 of where it is today and we were only 6 months out of the worst recession in 70 years.

Almost every "collector grade" car was selling at under half of what it is today. I bought a '97 air-cooled Porsche 993 Turbo back then for $58K. Sold it almost 6 years later (mid 2015) as the market seemed to be peaking for $135K. That car today would still be valued near $110K + today, though.

TR's are great cars but my guess is that only the top 3-5% of these cars (in terms of condition) double again from here in value over the next five to ten years. My guess is none of us here own those top 3-5% cars so the good news is that we get to drive the **** out of them and actually enjoy the car......AND still sell it for the equivalent of what a decent TR costs today when we are done with it :)

All I’m saying is 100k for a tr today really isn’t all that much money. You can barely go buy a new throw away sports car for that kind of money and one you don’t want to keep very long. I’m just saying put things in perspective, what do you get for 100k these days not much. A 100k tr is a good deal I don’t care what anyone says.

Your car is stunning. Love its condition. Top ‘3 to 5%’ cars will have 5000 or less miles on them, zero paint work, showroom stock condition and inpeccable in every way.
To put that into perspective 2100 testarossa’s were brought into the United States. That means a car has to be in the “top” 60 to 100 of those 2100 total TR’s.
Not sure how many miles you have on yours but if it’s in that range then perhaps you may be one of those small percentage owners .
