    iheard 3 black tr and all were painted white for best night time filming and they did a great job

    Ferrari North America only gave two (not three) black testarossa’s to the producers of the TV show.

    Maybe your source is also counting the replica stunt car that Carl Robert built for the TV show out of a 1972 De Tomosa Pantera. This was the car that was used in a lot of the chase scenes and scenes where the car was subject to more damage.
    You can easily tell which car they were using in each scene , the real TR or a replica, based on the wheels.
    The replica was also raised 1.5 inches for additional ground clearance

    It is so funny how this show marked US guys for most of us Europeans this was a show but the reason the TR was so loved was its looks and how it helped Ferrat come back from the dead bc it’s sales weren’t that good. Not that many white TR over there...when I speak to parnelli about Miami Vice he gets even more enthusiastic then say talk on auction valuation and whether or not buyers premium should be considered as part of the price;)

    The black Testarossa was driven by the bad guy in the episode were the Daytona was blown up.

    Correct !!

    The Ferrari Daytona is the subject of the most infamous continuity goof on the show when it suddenly reappears in "El Viejo", six episodes after its destruction, without explanation. The real reason for this is because the network changed the running order of the episodes when they broadcast them; originally "El Viejo" was set to be the third season premiere, but when executives saw the Daytona being destroyed in "When Irish Eyes Are Crying" they decided it was so impressive it would serve as a far better opening to the season. Don Johnson's holdout at the start of the season also played a part, delaying filming to the point where the episode could not be finished on time for it's premiere slot.

    Vice was the best. Don Johnson is reprising his role as Nash Bridges. He should of done Vice.

    I understand that he won’t bevause he feels that it was of the time and that it wouldn’t work to reboot it. I think he’s right. It’s best left alone because there’s a risk of polluting it with a new version. That’s why the movie was crap and why Vin Diesel’s reboot will be too. It’ll never work without the original cast and those characters are best left in the 80s.

    I think the only way it would of worked would have been to somehow have had him and Phillip Michael Thomas reprise their roles in some capacity. Otherwise I agree, will be as bad as the new Magnum PI.

    I got the call from Intercity (trucking company) today. They will be picking up the car early next week. I should have it within two week from today :)
