American Road Trip

    We shipped (via enclosed truck) our "minivan" (yes, this is the limo of the fleet) to LA in December 2018. Did a family trip over Christmas - mostly LA area. Were planning a quick 2nd trip in February but circumstances didn't allow for it. So the 2nd trip was during March break. We drove up the coast to Monterey and Carmel. Visited Disney and a whole slew of other cool CA things. Was a blast to rediscover the world from the perspective of a 5 year old.

    And finally, a few nights before the flight home, the stars aligned and I (with a friend who very last minute flew out to meet me) drove 5,100 km back home, LA to Toronto (wife and son flew home as scheduled). We tried to keep to Route 66 (mostly just an idea these days, but there are some "historic" sections that remain). Did a detour to Memphis before returning home to Toronto 4 days later.

    Epic! America is alive and well, and absolutely rocks!! Would do it again in a heart beat!
