    I've had a bit of fun with the recent RSS 2019 car for Assetto Corsa. The hybrids systems make it an interesting challenge to a) make a fast lap on longer tracks due to ERS running out, so have to compensate it my moderating that and b) on a longer stint managing the ERS to perfection so you don't run out or use to little...but they do not sound very good.


    So I virtually took the V6 and it's hybrid **** out, replaced it with a ''modernized V12'' with 1000bhp, compensated the weight a little bit (took some out for the much lighter engine but not so much that the weight is unrealistic...it weighs 650 kilo's which I think is fair. The 2000s cars weighed 605 including driver.

    The end result? Using an identical setup to my V6 Hybrid the V12 car was a massive 2 seconds faster than my personal best (which is 1 tenth of the digital word record), on just my 2nd lap. And some proper noise!

    2 short videos, one external (earporn) and one onboard. Sadly my video editing skills are not as good as I hoped so couldn't be bothered splicing the two together. MovieMaker gave me no sound and I couldn't be bothered fixing it.

    Use a 2017 or 2018 F1 car (SF70-H or SH71-H) and use it with a 3ltr V-10 and compare those times with the V-12.

    The 2017 and 2018 F1 cars broke most of the F2004 records, some still remain, and had all those aero elements on the front wing.

    Also, Ultra-Soft tires (pink ones)

    I'll have a play with that as well. I've got their 2017 and 18 cars also but the 2019 cars are so nice to drive. Especially now with the V12....

    Love those....only thing I didn't like is the Halo.

    True!

    I've since ''modified'' the car further and the car now revs lower (13500rpm in this video) but has more power, and KERS properly removed this time (long story short but there was still some on it in the earlier videos, just less noticable due to the complex nature of these engines). 1100hp, 13500rpm. And ****ing awesome to drive

    I find the F1 cars on any game, GTSport Assetto, so hard to drive lol. I applaud you just being able to drive them. I'm pretty good with GT cars too.

    Thanks. GT cars are very good and normally good races to be found. Are you on PC or console?

    If these engines came back I would even start watching F1 again. Shame the green brigade infiltrated the FIA.

    I have a ferrari branded travel clock given me on a factory visit in 2001, which has the sound of a Ferrari V10 as the alarm call sound....... bloody awesome!
