    From my experience with regard to special series Ferrari’s they will always hold their value better than “regular “ production Ferrari’s and be sought after long after the McLarens find their way to the junk yard.

    Question: I believe the Pista has titanium con rods and crankshaft
    Does the Tributo have these race inspired titanium parts?

    I agree with you about the special series but have to disagree about the mclaren comment. Regardless- the Pista should hold value well.

    Even by the standards of this V8, our ‘Special Series’ 488 Pista engine is stunning,” says Project Team Leader Emmanuele Raveglia. The first time he ever drove a 488 Pista, he immediately thought: 'why don’t we put this engine into a berlinetta like the 488?’. The idea for the F8 Tributo was born. But, he stresses, the project has been very much a Ferrari team effort, headed up by: Carlo Palazzani (design), Marzio Maresi (engine and gearbox), Ivan Moranzoni (external trim), Salvatore de Angelis (interior trim) and Fabrizio Fontana (vehicle testing engineer).

    Marzio Maresi – engine - says: “To fulfil new emissions and noise regulations, we needed to change the exhaust. That meant changing various engine parts and revalidating the engine, driveability and sound.” The only visible changed parts are the new aluminium intake manifold, and exhaust. Mechanical engineer Fontana adds: “we had to achieve the right sound with the new exhaust. We worked for six months together as a team, to create the best sound possible, both inside and outside the cabin.

    Those optional 5 pointed star rims are not aesthetically pleasing IMO. Much like the base 458 rims.

    Great sketches. Love the scoops on the 3rd and 4th ones. That's how Ferrari should have done the 488. The side scoops on the 488 are just awful. Rounded/muddled looking, small and distracting. The 455 side scoops were awesome.

    First 2 sketches are interesting but the designer didn't get the memo about this being a facelift and so need to keep all the greenhouse and doors, fenders, etc. like the 488.

    Last 2 sketches would make good candidates for a Mansory tune.
