Doubtful - their last 512 was 140k on there.

Black leather? It’s my least favorite actually. Based on recent prices, you think a prediction of 85k is wildly out?

Looks to be a nice car. Check and see the date of the last major service and what was done. Get his service history. Check the tire dates. If older than 7 years you will need to replace. The car is priced a little high. I would try and pay no more than 115-120k if you really want it. The car would have to be in perfect condition for that price and I’m assuming at this point it is but you must verify. A good deal would be low 100-105k

Thank you, I will try to arrange a visit to his garage within next month since I’m local to this gentleman.

Seems like the red TR on BAT is already at 85k... like a bidder said too much too soon.
It’s really hit or miss on BAT. Good for sellers in a soft market but I wonder why people would bid so much so early; not an auction specialist but maybe waiting a bit longer before showing all ur cards is a better strategy ;)

I happen to know of a red/tan 88 with 40k miles that just sold for $60K! Needed a major but was well maintained other wise. HAD luggage:)

it's Fantasyjunction dealership selling it, I'd be cautious of shrill bidders.

    Why do you say that?

As with any auction, it just takes two people who want it and the money starts flying.

Or maybe somebody wants the car and disagrees on your value assessment? I don’t understand how you can have been touting that BaT is bringing nothing special for TR’s but now that the car is bid up to approximately your gauge of the car’s value, BaT is “good for sellers.”

You are so clearly motivated to see these cars go for less. Good for you, but maybe you don’t have to assert your opinion ad nauseam on the BaT website for every TR auction? Its just poor taste in my opinion. As TR owners we should collectively rejoice at pricing being strong. We’re all entitled to our opinions, I get it

Wonder its overall condition and whether or not the seller was familiar with market trends. I saw a countach sell for $100k a few years ago too, but the seller was totally ignorant and was taken advantage of.

I think I been maintaining a spreadsheet with the values so that’s not my values it’s what numbers have brought...

I know, and I value your data and contributions. But we shouldnt nay say what people are willing to pay or bid just because it doesn't exactly correspond with your calculated mean.

I am currently in the market for a 512TR. I have read a good portion of this thread but would like to reach out to recent posters and get some kind of consensus on the market. As per usual would prefer <20k miles and 94 model in red or black. Condition dictates everything but also looking for a range.
