No, it's because I like pretty cars. And did you already drive the BB to make such a statement about its soul (or lack thereof)?
OK, did not realise there was a "noise" limit too. This could be a major issue. Again while I really enjoyed being a passenger in the 918 I am really not sure as an all round package I would want one. Hence why noise aside BB would need to be driven and tested to really see if its worth crazy money. But yes noise limit is not cool
I’ve never heard anything about a regulatory noise limit of 64db. For which region should this apply?
By the way, Ferrari already built a hybrid car that can be started and also driven in electric mode: it's called LaFerrari. Here's Manuma (a.k.a. Powerslidelover) driving it in such mode with the V12 kicking in at the end: https://www.instagram.com/p/BUz7Y5wD6TB/ Someone with more knowledge than me could kindly explain how the ICE takes over.
I don t ...I respect your position even if mine is different. NA have a soul, not hybrid turbocharged to come. Don t forget its not a KERS like the LF
The LF can drive in electric mode only up to 5 km/h and for a limited distance. It was meant for getting in and out of your garage, without waking up the wife.
Ok so invites going out now for a V6 low CC hybrid, carbon monocoque, circa 900 BHP and obviously stratospheric torque. Event is at end May, similar profile of invites to 812 launch. Below £500k basic. Hope helpful.
So it’s 68 dB by 2024. 70 dB by 2020. By 2024 the BB will already be replaced. So the car should fulfil the 2020 regulations. Why should it be limited to 64 dB?
I don't know much about hybrid systems, honestly. I only remember @Doug23 talking about different solutions (2 MGUs for the front axle, gearbox KERS etc.), plus the patented turbine/compressor system discussed a few pages ago. Other than that, I respect your opinion too but, for me, their souls will die when there won't be any kind of interaction between man and machine. V6?
Also EU noise limits are not total noise - it’s a drive-by test at specific RPM etc. That’s largely why cars have exhaust flaps as I understand. Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat
my dealer says its going to be 4-500k € car ... and launched at le mans, and be the hyper'ish car for those how cant get laferraries
Again, see post #850. Event is at factory 29/30/31 May for selected clients, selected NOT by dealer but by the factory directly. Marcel Massini
Gents, do you think the F8 is going to be completely forgotten once BB is unveiled ? especially since the two are going to share a similar design language, at least for the front (I suppose) Won't the F8 be seen as the poor man's BB, since the BB is not going to be an halo car and not limited (Like I've understood) ?
