    i recently bought a Mazda3 2019. It will not let me turn off the HOD. My first thought is just put a cover over the well in which the projector resides. My first concern was heat, but the thing is already on the dash with the sun burning in. Concerns about this? Other ideas? Thanks Bill. (Yes, I am analogue and this annoys me:)

    Have no experience with the mazda 3 but the other ones i have seen you can shut it off, one you just dimit and the other you pushin the dial which allows you to adjust the position.
    Check your manual again

    Try this
    But, if you want to turn it off, you can do so in three easy steps:
    1. On your infotainment touchscreen display, selecting the Settings icon from the Home screen.
    2. Select the AD-Disp tab.
    3. From here, you should be able to select the Active Driving Display On/Off option to turn off the displaycompletely.
