Under 8hrs for race 1001. The race could be the most exciting event of the year or it could be a snoozefest. Forza Ferrari + Ricci Image Unavailable, Please Login
Meh..... same old boring ****.... mercs will lead the pack away, Max will snap at Seb for a few laps. Some midfielders will crash, probably Sainz, Grosjean, Georgie and Giovinazzi, LeClerc will get a good start, be fifth pretty quickly, and will pit much earlier than we would assume with the mediums, only around a couple laps after Seb. Someone will crash mid race, bring out the safety car..... Elton will brake check bottles, who will just **** himself and put up with it. At the restart, bottles will make sure to block Seb with no ambition for his own race..... the line will be crossed with another boring merc 1-2, Seb third, LeClerc on his tail in fourth having been advised to remain behind, Max and the rest will follow them home in no particular order..... at some point, my mrs will come back from her shopping trip and wake me up, with me having fallen asleep at the boring procession and hearing the commentators sucking Elton’s dick for the entire race
With those long straights I expect some good passing. Looking forward to see what Leclerc does coming from 10th on the grid. Mercedes needs to play defense at the start...keep Max and Vettel one and two. Ferrari and RB need to attack at the start...they want that podium and they want Mercedes to come in no better than 3rd and 4th. And there are drivers throughout the grid who are starting to feel the heat. We could see some early changes among them. I was happy to see Kubica crash...it means he was trying to go fast. There is no point in him holding back. This is race four...his job has to be on the line and he better start doing much better than his team mate if he wants to keep it.
Bottles arrives to the Paddock with a chip on his shoulder, sunglasses on, an entourage carrying a 1970s vintage boom box blaring "The Immigrant Song." Elton is visibly flustered and looks away at Bottles staredown. The two Merc cars furiously joust in the opening laps, shredding their tyres, ruining Toto's strategory, and letting Vettel take and keep the lead after the subsequent pits (undercut attempts be damned). The Ferrari power units hold up and are too much for Vintage Max. Leclerc displays masterful racecraft working his way up for a podium. And then I set down my opium pipe. I have no expectations, but might as well dream big. Forza dammit !! (not sure why I'm awake at 330am...rolling over for a few more hours)
I thought it was a joke so I googled it and yeap it's true... well the rumour. But according to the Dutch publication Formule 1, he is not in Baku, after Liberty Media banned him. In China, the former Mercedes driver reportedly gave his personal world champion pass to his camera man, which is strictly forbidden. Officials for Formula One Management removed Rosberg’s friend from the grid, and then banned the former world champion from both Baku and Barcelona in two weeks.
FIA - Alfa Romeo team manager has been called to the stewards after Kimi Raikkonen’s front wing has failed a deflection test.
The usual 9/1 boring/WTF ratio of F1 races is a bit higher in Baku, so my expectactions are above average.
