    Ferrari wanted Leclerc to stay out for 35 laps. Fine. But when real race conditions changed so that they should have brought him in on lap 34... they left him out to 35.

    No ability to adapt to reality.

    Let's be clear here. The strategy is pretty much irrelevant if the car isn't quick enough and it is obvious Mercedes is just that much quicker and Verstappen was fast enough that Leclerc was going to struggle to get past him after stopping too. So really brilliant strategy would have got them no better than where they are.
