You're a kid and I get it. You apparently made some money and have now come blazing on to Fchat pounding your chest screaming "look at ME".

All ego. But I get it.

Let me tell you about another 20 year old I know. Yes he is really just 20 and occasionally visits Fchat. Those on the inside circles of Ferrari customers should all know who I am talking about. In the time I got myself to VIP with Ferrari, he has gone to Top with Ferrari and he has one, maybe two or even three of everything. But you know what the differences are? He actually is rich. Not 8 figure rich but 9 figure and half way to 10 figure rich.

And the other difference? He isn't here on Fchat bragging about it.

Keep buying 40 cars a year in your 20s and then in your 50s you won’t be able to buy any.

I think it is time the "old money" takes a step back and looks at the younger generation. You guys may not like to brag, you worked hard for your money so on, times are changing and I don't think majority are ready for it. and who do you think is buying all these supercars? the new money! It use to take a whole lifetime of work to make a billion, it can now be made overnight. Any young person who recives large sums of money, will buy things, heck I'm not young and I still buy things.

So a friend of mine here in Arizona struck it rich in his 20s. Sold his stock in a tech company he cofounded back right when the internet bubble was taking off in the late 1990s and made some healthy 8 figure sum off of it. Of course he went crazy and bought loads of Ferraris - F40, F50, Enzo...and so on.

Sound familiar? 20 years later he is all but bankrupt.

It’s typically 3 generations. First generation makes it, second generation grows it. Third generation blows it.

Not saying the member didn't make any money, but the whole buying 30-40 cars a year is like billionaire level stuff unless you're just buying them and immediately selling them with no miles, which I wouldn't understand anyway.

He's 20 and talking about Portofinos. Like, why does a 20 year old with a LF, Enzo, 918 etc buy crap like a Portofino or 488 coupe, let alone multiples of them within the same yeaer? If he said he was buying rare, classic Ferraris and bought 30 of them for $25M, I guess that could make sense, but there haven't even been 40 desirable Ferraris since he was born, let alone that you'd want to move in and out of within a single year, over and over.

If I was a billionaire I'd be on my 300' yacht in the Caribbean with 14 Russian super models (two for every night of the week) right now and planning my next ride in my Ferrari FXXK Evo.

I feel dansage has always been straightforward. I don't think his disclosure of buying many cars was braggadocio, he disclosed his fleet when answering a question on why he gets allocations. He's been always up front.

As to how he got his money; selling his watch business, lottery, trust fund, tooth fairy, It doesn't matter to me. He's never been rude or condescending as far as I've witnessed.

The dealer is not allowed to charge the customer over MSRP so I’m not sure how they would get away with this. I’m betting that if you called Ferrari North America what they would think of that offer to you?

The dealer isn’t selling the car over MSRP the paperwork will show that. What the buyer is doing is making a “donation” to the dealership’s race team or some other outlet for the privilege to buy the car.
