I finally got my head above water to plan this year's event. This is possibly the last one I will be able to host - in this state. ;) We'll see what comes up.

Anyway, we're looking at Saturday May 18th. Please let me know how this works and if you will be able to make it. Alternatively, you may suggest another date, such as June 1st. Remember that May 25th is Memorial
Day weekend so that is probably not a good one. June 2nd is the FCA picnic at the Botanical Gardens. For some of you out-of-towners, it's a great free event for FCA members but you need to call Peter Lund for a reservation as early as you can.

Stoogefest 2019 will be the usual nonsense - eating, lying about cars, maintenance coaching/kibitzing, some actual work, and telling lies. All years welcome, but favor given to 348's and 355's. This is a great place to learn more about your cars, how to work on them and saving money.

    Cheers,
    Vince

I'm personally a "No Go" for May 18th as I am up at Edwards AFB on the FCA trip.

June 1 may work for me however I'm back in almost the exact area the following day for the FCA picnic at the Botanical Gardens on June 2nd and unfortunately the event is completely full.

Just to throw it out there, June 9th is the FCA Concorso at San Marino so yet another bad weekend for me. June 8th will be a prep day for the event.

I am around and open Memorial Day weekend though.

Alignments and suspension is so overlooked. nobody seems to do it or understand how why, single most important thing in a performance car

    Or even proper brake servicing

Both are deep topics we can have a clinic on. But it would be very difficult to perform without decent tools. Im too old to crawl under ramps to get at shims to adjust camber. I work only on a lift. Also Ferrari springs are preloaded and quite a pitas to deal with. I have yet to find a spring compressor that fits nice insitu. I just take the coil over out and work on bench a real pain. But I'm a racer so I converted to real coilovers and adjustable shocks with coil springs and helper springs so I can adjust ride heights abd scale my car with my hand on my 550. But if you want to dial in one of your challenge cars we could probably get it done if I point and someone else does the crawling. Your 355 challenge might have not preloaded springs and that would make all the difference in the world. We would need to clear Vince's garage too it is the flattest spot and we furthur need to level the floor with tiles...an easy task.

Or we need a car that needs a brake service and go through that including flush and bleeding.

Ketel has the Ketel and he expressed that he wants to make the next event so he can give it away. He is one busy boy and we still have not gotten a date.

Yes, I have the Ketel award and dying to bestow that to the new rightful owner. Basically it boomeranged back to me when I missed the last stoogefest.

How's that date firming up, VInce?

The date is not holding up for me guys, so let's move it into June. Not the first weekend because we have Ferrari events, but maybe mid-June, like the 15th? Give me some workable dates, please.
