    I would like to resume and share a bit of 288 GTO story: 288 GTO engine was developed starting from F105A engine (the QV one), that was under development and testing at those times. 288 GTO engine it's 1 mm debored (80 mm versus 81 mm, same stroke 71 mm, same crankshaft) and has a lot of mods, but the base engine was the F105 that become (after many mods) the F114A (Carbed) and then the final F114B (injected).

    The carbed one was developed only because Enzo Ferrari himself imposed to test a carbed model of the engine too.
