Yikes! Maybe time to switch dealerships, doesn't seem like they want to promote brand and dealership loyalty if they refuse to sell a pista even.
Should have a 4 in the name to remind the four engines and the four wheels drive it has and the four liters displacement. F44 Super?
You probably already know, but a collector restored a mule used to test the LaF powertrain and I think this is the closest thing to a modern 'Rossa that we'll get. 800hp, no KERS and....It's locked in a museum. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Without considering any V12 mid-engine halo car that might come out in the future, obviously.
I haven't searched through this entire thread so forgive me if its been discussed. Im excited to see this new model as I am with every new model Ferrari comes out with. However I wonder about weight and complexity which hasn't always been the case in the past. Ferrari isnt exactly the model for battery / electronics reliability. Who is excited to be the amongst the first set of guinea pigs? I wonder what happens with after warranty fixes.
I'm afraid posting graphs from Government institutions doesn't make for science. It's very easy to deliberately misinterpret statistics to promote an agenda. That's the point I was making about working within systems. You're gonna have to dig a lot deeper than regurgitating official statistic if you want the truth. This vid might lend a hand. Anyhoo, sorry for the slight diversion.
I was thinking today about BB and the Aston Martin 003. The cars will have similar powertrains - I know V6 vs V8 - but the Ferrari is not limited production and it will end costing half of the AM. The BB might really put a damper on the 003 sales...or maybe not...as today many HNW individuals love anything that is produced in limited numbers...
5-hour event? That is a long one What they're going to do in that time frame? Just show the car and describe its specs Could be done in an hour.
Probably serving some of the finest food and wines you can find in Italy. Pampering clients before and after the reveal is always important, especially those who flew for several hours in order to get there. I would also say that giving them all the time to check the car in the flesh, ask all the questions they might have and chat with some fellow car enthusiasts is nice too. I personally wouldn't want to get everything done in just one hour.
The "private" presentations of the 488 GTB in Maranello in February 2015 last about that time IIRC, beginning with a tour of the facilities (the new F1 department that was not yet operational at the time), then speeches from executives (Marchione and Galliera) then the unveiling of the car, and finally a dinner.
Got contacted by my local dealer on Friday reaching out to confirm my EOI/deposit. Stated factory has reached out telling them to now begin engaging clients.
I’m gou I’m going on the 30th- hopefully those “above “me on the 29th leave me some food - I love Parma ham, Parmesan cheese , modenese balsamic vinegar and some nice Italian red.... going fot the food and company !! Are they showing a car too?!!’
20hrs on a plane then a train ride for me - and that's one way. Really not sure at this stage.. If the car is shown on F website a few days later then I probably won't bother?
I gave up. Too much to go through for early reveal. Sent from my iPad using FerrariChat.com mobile app
Another small update for those interested: Dealer has been informed there is no requirements to allocations. If you win the lotto today and have zero ferraris you can walk in and order one (until its sold out, as its limited by timed production). This is in Australia. US may differ due to your dealerships/laws.
