There’s one mod you must do on the 16M. On the US version there is a blank spot on the dash for an extra switch. I had my Ferrari dealer insert a switch (mine is actually an OEM fog light switch lol) through which I can keep the exhaust valves open at all times. It’s epic and there is no need for an after market exhaust. You may also want to look into longer carbon shift paddles.

Oh and mine is slightly lowered from stock height. If the car you find does not have skid plates they are a must even at stock height.

Funny I’m quoting my old comment from over 2 years ago...I finally got an S to add to my 16M. Perfect combo for me. They are both so close in feel yet so different in their fortes.
I will keep my 16M forever and it has 19k miles on it and countless memories. As mentioned, with top down, the sensations of even “feeling” the exhaust, let alone hearing it are orgasmically exemplified. Canyons in my backyard in SoCal allow me to throw the car around with effervescent feel...60 ms bangs!
Love the S, as everything is tighter and more crisp, and glad I got coupe for a different feel. It is sharp as a razor.

As to the market, no idea, either...I do see prices dropping, but there seems to be a correction across the board.
Scuds for $150k? Are you kidding me? Most undervalued Ferrari IMO.
So is 16M worth double? Is SA worrh double? 16M is easier to get into at half the cost of an SA. All these NA cars are so good!

Hey, hope we can arrange another Scud meet soon as we missed you on the last one.
I agree 50%....on the extended paddles. But.....I think every Scud/16M/430 needs S line exhaust +\- cats and or headers:

I’ve yet to test a 16M and am interested also.

I like open top driving because the sounds are amplified greatly. Hence the Perf S currently.

My 458 spider was so jiggly and lacking rigidity so I worry the 16 M will be similar.

16M doesn't seem to have as much "jiggliness," at least mine doesn't anyway.
The 16M is more planted, slower steering, less nervous.

Aren't you n LA? I bet Plastique999 would get together with you for a drive. :)

There is a nice 16M in Titanio at Ferrari of a Tampa.
Sorry, don’t know the asking price since I’m not in the market.
If you have the itch I suggest scratching it...life is short, and these older tech cars are going to become car guy gems stored in collections before you know it.

2015 seemed the peak of the supercars. Crazy prices for SA, TDF and such. Since then things have softened, I personally feel there is a bit more of a pull back into the next year.
Speciales that were asking $410k have dropped to $389k (asking).
However, 16M’s have been somewhat elusive. I have seen asking prices from $319-$399k, but no idea what actual sale prices are.
I have 19k miles on mine....probably worth $2xx but doesn’t matter as I’ll be keeping it. It is an icon.

Scud/16m with the proper exhaust mod is superb machinery for spirited driving. It's not about the latest and greatest or what's expensive and what's not. The Scud/16m hits the right buttons and with the added power from exhaust upgrades feels more than adequate as a winding road beast. Grab a good car while you can as there aren't many of them.

I've said it many times before, I don't like Porches, but the 991.2 GT3 Manual is the only car I would currently trade my Scud in for. I still think a Scud with a proper exhaust sounds better though.

I did not expect to have that reaction. WTF. Seriously, how can a car like that be selling for less than $200k....?

Re 991.2 gt3 manual, im on my second one, first was sport classic grey winged GT3 manual, sold it less than 2 months, now touring black on black, about to sell it too after 3 weeks. Went out on a long, spirited drive with a 918 spider and another Touring on Sunday, and entire time my pista was on my mind LOL. Went home, drove the pista, then drove the TDF and texted my sales guy that im ready to get rid of the Touring. Porsche just doesnt do it for me anymore, its dead. Maybe just preference but that brand appeal has lost its mystique to me lately.
