Hamilton/Alonso all over again... "fortunately" Ferrari does not have a Championship winning car right now anyway so there is no championship to loose...

Ferrari is no more than a box you tick when you have won something in another team.
It looks good on your resumé at the end of your career, or near it, regardless of the result: "I was a Ferrari driver once".
That's why stars like Prost, Mansell, Alonso and Vettel wanted to go through the Scuderia at some point.
Charles Leclerc has done it the other way around, and got himself a berth at Maranello quite early in his career, when he is still Young.
Ferrari isn't in the habit of receiving Young blood anymore, and Binotto is starstruck by Vettel and his 4 WDCs.
That's why it doesn't work: Leclerc is somehow wasted in a team that sees him as a tail gunner for Vettel.
Leclerc has to overturn the mentality in his entourage; I don't know if he will be allowed to do that.
To his credit, he keeps a good composure and doesn't blow his top in public, but I suspect he is boiling Inside.

Ferrari is having a negative affect on Ferrari. It isn't Leclerc.

I'm not sure this is correct. The car in LeClerc's hands seems better on the time clock and more poised.

I think LeClerc has gotten into Vettel's head. Vettel has become overly aggressive and started to make <more serious> mistakes.

The Mercedes was faster in Baku, Leclerc neded a complete new set of softs and a qualifying lap without mercy on the tires (being the last laps) to beat the times Mercedes could drive on used soft tires at the end of the race. Leclerc was never fast enough to beat the Mercedes...
One time it is said that Seb lost enthusiasm, the next time that he is too aggressive, maybe it is time to decide rather than liking everything written against Seb

Seb should grow up. If young Charles frightens him so damn much, take the Nico way out!!

None of this is Leclerc's fault. If Ferrari were not ready or capable of handling an aggressive, talented, young driver they should have kept Kimi. If they have faith in their choice, they need to let them race. The WCC is what matters and losing team points to protect one driver over another is stupid.

Bored of the sofa sniping at the SF drivers..

Seb drove the best race there was to drive at Baku. With our car and strategy would Elton have done better?

Max may have tried super aggresive but even if he could have caught the Mercs he would have stacked it getting by one of them.

Charles was heading for pole , ****ed up in practice, he lead the race (as well as anybody could) but the strategy failed.

He admitted his error, he didn't blame the team in public, he acted like a man.

With a better strategy and unleashing the car's potential our drivers are fully capable of 1-2 finishes. They are not the problem.

JV can go poke himself by the way.

The sniping that we are seeing has to do with the fact that SF is snatching defeat at the hands of victory . It is almost like they are afraid of winning . Ferrari is at least equal to MB , let's ignore the sandbagging that happened during the pre season , Ferrari has a very good car and should have won one race for sure , just bad luck . At the same time, given the massive budget and funds available to the scuderia, one would think a couple of people or at least one person with brains who can analyse data and come up with better race strategy would make it on their payroll . When of the sofa people, as you say , can clearly come up with a better strategy and/or options for race day , and they are not wrong , it is indicative of a clear weak link in the organisation and it should't be rocket science to fix it . You have a very good car , a solid driver combo , stop ****ing with their heads and go fetch a few wins .

It’s a process. Charles will have his time...needs to be patient and remember that the team is bigger than the driver at Ferrari (for better or for worse)

SF90 is plenty fast and Ferrari has a huge budget. Pit wall strategy bears the bulk of the blame. Let both drivers race wheel-to-wheel. The Vettel favoritism has cost LEC WDC points and Ferrari WCC points.

It is plenty fast , they have a very good car . I think the issue is psychological , too much politics within the team if i may guess, which always been the norm with Ferrari and they have let MB get into their head . It is the same with every sport , there is only so far talent can get you , the rest is mental fortitude, that is what makes the difference between winners and also rans . It is a shame it is obvious to everyone except for the team , and if it obvious to the team , they are doing a terrible job dealing with the situation . As i had said before , heads need to roll .

Leclerc just needs to put it on pole in Barcelona then take the win himself, with no interfering from the idiots on the pit wall.

Then we can watch Vettel crumble and by the end of the year he will be history.

Sorry but he has has his chances ,time now to move over.

Mental fortitude is key. If Hambone and Bottles go down to the final races, I believe Hambone has the mental edge to win the WDC.

Drifting 74 points behind Merc, now is the time to let LEC show us what hes got unimpeded.

Seb's sell by date expired long, long ago. Said it many times before; Ferrari picked up the wrong driver from the soda company. Save Ric from his misery at Renault and let Ric+Leclerc race. It will be fair racing and f'in fantastic because both drivers are cool-headed and not as volatile as young Max.
