Stroll shunts it and brings out the only redflag with minutes left in the session.

Maybe he pressed the wrong button....probably got confused and was looking for the one to lower the deck on the lawnmower.

What a Tool! Shouldn't be making that kind of mistake with his "experience" and no reason to push like that in practise.

Lawrence Stroll is very quickly going to become a millionaire with his son constantly planting the car into walls!

While its great fun giving the Stroller a pasting, you would have to imagine that all these silly mistakes do cost a hell of a lot of money...

these complicated bits don't come cheap! 100K a front wing is still the norm. The crash he had this morning was a few hundred grand for sure.

Did I hear him making an excuse today on the team radio? Something about grass? Driving on it or smoking it?

He also said he's got bad luck..............really??

Even the commentators(Croft, PdR, etc) during FP1 after reviewing the incident mentioned he(Stroll) over-drives the car.

One can see from past on-boards that this is true. His steering wheel is all over the place.

Front wings are consumable in F1, just like lollysticks.
When they are not damaged in the races, they quickly become obsolete as new ones come up anyway.
The aerodynamicists are constantly working on new designs.

Yes, but the current one will need to be replaced....part of the game of course, but you have to admit, he's binned it quite a few times so far.

I gather every team brings several spares sets of front wings at each race.
Most of the unused sets will be binned anyway when the next generation appears at the next GP.
You can see the constant change of body parts from race to race, very well documented on this forum by jGonzalesm6.

I was never impressed by Gio, and wondered why Alfa took him back this year.

Apart from Russell who can't show anything, Norris and Albon are far better prospects than Giovinazzi, I think.

Finally some truth in the press about Stroll and his 'talent' - http://www.espn.co.uk/f1/story/_/id/26723359/valtteri-bottas-delivers-lewis-hamilton-wake-call

We need to talk about Lance Stroll: Nine consecutive Q1 eliminations is his current run -- the past five are the only ones that really count given the fact he was driving for Williams last year. But it's still hardly a great statistic for someone who has a competitive car at his disposal. But it's also not great because of something unfortunate Stroll has been unable to shake since he arrived on the F1 grid in 2017.

Stroll's father, Lawrence, owns the Racing Point team and brought his son, along with his money, across from Williams at the start of 2019, six months after completing his takeover. The "pay driver" label has been a difficult one for Stroll to shake even though he has shown glimpses of real potential since arriving in F1 -- a podium in Baku as a rookie in 2017 and a front-row start at Monza that same year spring to mind.

But those performances have been few and far between. It doesn't help that Stroll has seemed intent on wrecking his dad's cars at the past two races, either, as he gave his Racing Point mechanics a busy lunch on Friday after going off track at the top of the hill at Turn 9. Not helping matters is the fact that Stroll's teammate, Sergio Perez, is consistently one of the best performers in the midfield pack. Stroll's performances haven't been shocking -- he has four points (although Perez has 13) -- but this sort of run isn't going to do a lot for his confidence or make the stigma around him go away any time soon. Stroll doesn't like his family's money to be talked about too much, but as long as this sort of form continues, he's going to have to keep facing questions of whether he's worthy of that seat.

They can talk as much as they want, there is nothing in the rules to eliminate Stroll Jr from F1.
