When you consider the LaF was launched in 2013 - 6 years ago that would be the same as the Scuderia which was 6 years after the Enzo and was claimed to match the Fiorano time. 6 years is a lot of development time - battery density/KERS tech has moved on massively since the LaF launch. It will surely be at least as fast as LaFerrari, and probably faster, which makes me wonder what the next halo car will be like.
Might be; newer tyres alone make a vast difference. On the other hand, it will most likely made of aluminium and it is bound to be heavier than the LaFerrari.
Given my comments on tyres being the limiting factor in the 812VS Rumours thread I do wonder what tyres this will have and if it will be AWD.
Hypercar-beating performance for half the price. Game changer for sure. Wonder if it'll go sub 1.18 at Fiorano.
I would expect some seriously intrusive nannies, even in sport and track modes. I can't imagine turning them off. I mean, I can drive okay, but I'm sure I would spin it at a track day without some assistance. About 500 HP is the most I can even relate to. I've never driven a car with more HP than that.
Driving home from work indicates 200 hp in the hands of some people is a bad idea... Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat
With 1,000hp and a price of $500K...it will really challenge a lot of the upcoming Hypercars, like the AMRB-003, with the same specs/performance for half the money. Who would have ever thought that a Ferrari would be a bargain - relatively speaking of course
Remember how people were disappointed when Ford put a V6 in their GT performance car? How will Ferrari people feel at the end of May ??????
The V6 Turbo will be hard to swallow for the Italians if that's the case, I think it's a V8 for this one. Personally, I don't mind it too much (especially at this price) for me it depends on the purpose of the car. What I fear the most for this car is the weight and the sound.
