I worked as an FA for eight months out of uni, doing transatlantics with a low-cost. You'd have the arm the bots pretty heavily for that to work on a big number of class-b and below airlines.

Seat belt sign is turned off at 10000 ft and all the passengers stand up and rush the galley bot. There is not enough room for passengers to be crowding the aisles. It is already bad enough with just 3-4 trying to get in a lav.

Remember, the primary reason for flight attendants, and this goes back to the '30s, is to ensure the safety of passengers, particularly in the event of emergencies! Serving food and drinks has always been secondary. The food carts may disappear but human flight attendants never will.

On domestic airlines in the USA, yes.

On real airlines like Cathay Pacific, ANA and Emirates, they are wonderful luxuries.

Yeah, on Cathay, Singapore, and Asiana, they really are wonderful accessories!

My thoughts as well... bots to replace food and drink servers, and that's it.
