Send Elton to Williams, lets see if he's as good as a few of you think he is.

    I should think not !!!!

First, it's a very disorganised team, the complete opposite to what he is used to.

Second, the tifosi will never be his audience, so why go where he will be hated?

Third, every effort will be made to make him fail at Ferrari.

It would not make any difference if Hamilton moved to Ferrari.

    Mercedes would still dominate.

I don't think Lewis will bring to Ferrari what Michael did, ie hard work, long days improving the car and winning.

Toto is just negotiating in public with Hamilton, the entire grid knows that the Mercedes seat guarantees a championship and all are chomping at the bit for a chance at that seat. Everyone also knows that going to Ferrari will not allow Hamilton to compete for a championship and wins will be few and far between. Toto and Hamilton both know that if Hamilton leaves and does not dominate that it could prove that the emperor has no clothes and that it was Mercedes dominance that won all of those races and championships as whichever driver replaces Hamilton goes on to win multiple races and championships. Hamilton cannot not damage his brand or reputation so he stays.

When Hamilton moved to then midfield Mercedes everybody thought that was a dumb idea.

He might do just another dumb idea again.

With all his titles and records he has not much too loose/gain anymore. A new challenge as in driving/winning for the ultimate F1 team is always tempting. Especially towards the end of his career. Just as his idol Senna did when he talked to Enzo.

    Honestly, No. Not now.
Same reason I dont want Joe Thornton on the Maple Leafs: they’re past their prime and their next move should be to retire.
I just can’t get excited about someone else’s sloppy seconds.

I’m being harsh, I know Lewis has a few good seasons left, but with advancing age, a switch to an inferior car, and a style that overly relies on having the best car, I just don’t see the benefit.

Just as Williams in the early 90's. They were so dominant that Senna publicly said various times that he would drive for Williams for free, just to guarantee another world Championship. :) Sadly it did not come to fruition as expected.

Of course. Not sure even he can help Ferrari win though as I'm sure it's not all down to drivers.

Unless he brings the MB tech team with him no interest. MS bought key tech people to Ferrari, and they rebuilt the team. When the RB dominated LH’s McLaren was banging wheels with Massa’s Ferrari. It’s all about tech now.

I would like to see Hamilton at Ferrari just to see how much of a good driver he really is with a car that might be a challenge against Mercedes

I believe there is a fair chance with him driving it would win races. Can't say he'd be a WDC but he is a better driver than Vettel no doubt.

    Agreed.

Seems realistic. He is the more complete driver than Seb and would get the max out of the car. But the car would still be second compared to a MB and some fast dude would fill the vacant seat there quickly. Hence back to status quo for the most part.
