Just about to do the camshaft install after new shims are in place. Lots of camshaft retention tools out there many of which I hear do not fit well on this car. Many people saying not to bother with them, just use a business card under one of the caps to hold everything in place. Any comments?
I set mine with the paper from a razorblade. Worked great! Loosen a cap, insert paper, tighten back down. Cam doesn't move. sjd
"Any comments?" - just remember to remove the paper/card before turning the crank to check your timing again!!!... just saying... LOL!
