Loved Jamiroquai back in the day. Virtual Insanity is one of the coolest, most innovative videos. The man has a talent and has used that to fuel his passion for cars. I like watching his videos talking about his cars. He seems to be a true enthusiast. T
Some good music, and an absolute tifosi through and through, and total petrolhead. Nice chap to talk to, not up himself like some celebs can be, if you like cars, jay Kay will give you time to talk.... always glad to see him around as he’s a cool chap
He is a true car nuts. One of us. He has 30+ cars i think. And had amazing ones in the past also. 275, Miura, F40/ Enzo, Laf, Pista, GTC4, 2.7 RS etc
Great music if you like jazz/funk. He's quite into environmental issues as well. His band is named after the Iroquois native american indians. I think his parents were well known in jazz circles, and obviously influenced his music. He does a lot of world tours - not a lot in the US. Virtual Insanity is a pretty cool video, but I find his music is a bit of an acquired taste. I can't listen to it for very long as jazz/funk is not really my thing.
The only thin I know about him is he likes cars and he fronts some kind of British band that had one hit in the US in the late 90s about insanity or something. No strong feelings either way.
The thing about Jay and Jamiroquai is that unless you’re in the know, all you have been exposed to is Virtual Insanity, due to heavy MTV play in the 90s. What most don’t realize is the band has put out many excellent records over the past 25 years. Virtual Insanity is one of their weakest tunes. Every album is good and blends Jazz, Funk, Disco, and Pop into great vibes around the World. Turn yourself on to fantastic Summer vibes.
Last Fall I caught their show in Queens NY. It had been 5 years since they played in the USA. It was the only time I can remember being in one place with white, black, & Latin people all singing, dancing, and having a great time together. It was really amazing.
Jay Kay is a car obsessive. You can tell just by watching interviews of him. He is bursting from the seams with a love for cars, especially Ferrari.
This one I also like a lot it has some decent cars and I love the slim blonde dancing in a very prim way showing fire beneath the ice
I’m of the right generation, but don’t really listen to that genre, I’ve *heard of Jamiroquai, but knew nothing about him/them. So no opinion one way or the other . He’s much more successful than I would have thought.
