Hi I read somewhere it would be possible to replace the 4 o-rings that seal the camshaft end caps cambelt side with engine and camshaft in place! Of course you have to cut the old ones to remove and the new one to install. But directing the cut to the top at 0/360° this would be no issue to leak. This part i could believe as the oil would not penetrate at this high level. Also removing the old ones by cutting and pulling them out i could believe also. But i can't see how you could install the (cutted) new ones in the groove. Anybody tried ? Looks like a hoax to me. Image Unavailable, Please Login
That method was described by Rifledriver many years ago so I assume it is possible. But, you have the engine out, why bother with that?
That suprises me comming from rifle driver. I guess anything is possible. I agree with Mitchel why bother in your case, possibly rifledriver was stopping a leaky seal without taking the engine out.
