Mister Massini , Car has new platform, new hybrid system, new design interior and exterior , Sorry I don't understand your disappointment ? Maybe because a V8 instead of V12 ?
I can guess it means the same 720cv from internal combustion V8 and the rest (up to 1000cv) from electric engine(s)? Can it be RWD only?
How’s that? When it’s a clean sheet design made on an entirely new platform with a revolutionary drive train and a new driver-machine interface? How does fer9000 characterize it as looking like ‘a spaceship’ and you make it sound like an F8 that spent two more minutes in the microwave ?
There will be varying opinions. Some will love it. Some will hate it. Inevitably, some will even think it looks like a corvette! Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat.com mobile app
Some times uninformed muppets think the front-engined Ferrari V-12 two seaters remind them of Corvettes. Nobody is going to mistake a mid-engine Ferrari for a Corvette, thanks.
Everyone is under the assumption that the car under the wrap is in fact the new BB. Perhaps that is NOT the case, and the ACTUAL car under the wrap is something more along the lines of a Tributo one-off... I believe that is one of the possible interpretations of what Mr. Massini is suggesting. We must understand and be respectful of the fact that Mr. Massini is obviously in a position to be "in the know" and he probably must be careful about the manner in which he shares this type of info, at least at this moment in time....
That 3570lbs has gotta be dry, so 3700 or so... Looks like it will be a bit faster than the pista or 720s, obviously faster for 0-60. Will be Kool to see but please, let it be a completely new platform and not just a hybrid 458/488/f8 chassis. Excited about this, fully built at $750-800k, not so excited.
I have always loved Ferrari’s one off cars. The only thing I don’t like about them is that they don’t make more of them. If this truly is similar to other one off offerings from Ferrari, but as a regular production car, then I would interpret Massini’s comment in a very positive light. Another interpretation is that this car will look similar to the p80. Again, I would be thrilled if it looks anything like that car. And with 1,000hp and sub 2 second 0-60... this is sounding better by the minute. Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat.com mobile app
We've only seen one Icona model, hard to say what will be built (and how) in the future. It's also depends on someone's definition of "extreme".
Ferrari may have overestimated the market for Icona. SP1 & 2 perhaps too expensive and too much volume. Not that hard to get from what I hear & may prove very hard to resell. Not quite like LaF etc Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat
L. Camilleri said they were popular and quickly sold out. Some clients even asked to buy both variants but their request was denied. Not sure about resell value, I guess we'll have to wait and see what happens.
Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Ah, but sometimes, there are those who seem to dismiss the convergent design of the C6 Corvette and the 550/575M as well as the C7 and F12— The long hood, short rear deck, angular lines with slight curves. The C7 Corvette is the F12/812 more brash American brother that didn’t go to finishing school, stays out all night banging milfs. Way back in 2004-5ish, right before the C6 Corvette was released, they showed a headlight as a teaser. People started asking why do the new headlights look like Ferrari headlights, specifically the 360’s. Look at the similarity of the C7 Corvette Z06 in yellow versus the F12 Tdf. Granted the F12 has a better and more cohesive design, as well as better aero and air flow, but this is just to show the design similarities, so let’s not get to putting one’s nose in the air.
It's impossible to deny these two cars look, at quick glance, totally similar. Wow...I'm partial to Ferrari obviously but if someone says they like the F12 but not the C7 (or vice versa), then they haven't seen either.
