    Hi All,

appreciate some advice, no issues just looking to optimise the sound from the F430. I mean that's not quite true, the sound is fine, but I don't seem to have many pops and bangs. I have a Lamborghini Gallardo and that things is epic for pops and banks, so easy to do, however the F430 (2007), just does little grumbles and every so often when at low speeds shifting up it bangs or sometimes down, but never at higher speed/revs, drives me fruity lol.
    Currently:
The car has standard exhaust with flaps perm open (so sound itself is great)
The car has standard Headers, welded though to fix cracks

No real mods - what do I need to achieve what I want and are there any issues with such? Has anyone got an F430 that pops and bangs all the time or am I just being unrealistic?

    Cheers

    a) Take the car out to an empty road and run the proverbial snot out of it for 1/2 a tank of gasoline. (a race track is perfect for this)
    b) park the car and listen to it popping and cracking for 20 minutes or so.

The trick is to get the exhaust manifold (i.e., header) temperatures up to glowing red, which you can only do over 90%+ throttle openings, and to get the oil over 265ºF, and get the water temps up into the 230ºF range.

I suggest posting this in the 360/430 section. You might get more responses. I have Fabspeed headers with an X pipe. I got more of the pops and bangs after adding the X pipe.

Thanks Ridge, I'll find that section and repost. Sorry new. X-pipes, I'll have a look into them. Appreciate the advice/feedback.
