Nothing new really, but a simple and classic berlinetta... Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Agree. I did not like 550s in red or yellow, but after looking at a few cars over the years, they look better and better in these colors. The car is the same, but the «appeal» and «conduct» change a lot depending on the color. They are beautiful in ALL colors from ALL angles. Just makes a different impression.
I was after a blue one when I bought mine, but it has grown on me. There is something rather special about a blood red Ferrari with a V12 up front! Image Unavailable, Please Login
Had my first spirited drive of appr. 50 km today, the 550 behaved just perfect, missed it during the long, cold winter here... Jürgen Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
She is a beauty Jürgen!! Clean without any badges. We need to take some good pictures of our twins some time soon. Mine is sleeping and waiting for new Norwegian registration when the new tax system for cars applies in Norway very soon. Then Autobahn is around the corner!! Actually, we had a blast two weeks ago in my friends orange Diablo 6,0 while driving the «Eurorally» from Oslo to Prague. After only two houres form Kiel, we got stopped by the German Polizei!! For about 30 houres.... 120 cars STUCK It was two Polizei helikopters, about 53 Polizei cars and 140-150 Polizei men and women, also with dogs there... Just crazy. I was quite happy that my 550 was safe under the cover back home when suddenly 15 tow trucks showed up and started to lift the cars on the truck bed to impound them... The problem was that a few cars were so low, that the truckers couldn’t get the equipment between the tires and the fenders... So after an houre, the 6-7 cars being lifted onto the trucks were put back to the ground. Instead, all the cars had to stay at the ”Rasthof” heavily quarded by the police. The police collected all the keys to the cars. All the approx. 300 persons attending the event had to take taxis 50 kms. to the nearest town and check in at hotels. The next day, the Polizei released one car every 15 minute. When they were released, the cars could not move more than about 20m. before negering into a mandatory technical inspection where they checked the car completely. Everything done by two men controlling each other, so no mistakes could possibly happen.... End of story, the first cars got out about noon the next day, and the last ones around 5 AM next morning! People were sittning outside in a cold rainy environment for several houres. Sorry for hijacking the thread. It was just a very terrible/strange/fun experience. Had to tell. Both Gumball and Modball are illegal and banner in Germany. So, if we make an international 456/550/575 rally going through Germany, that will be WITHOUT ”rally stickers”. They thought it was a race, which it was not! Well, Erik, some people died recently in street races, especially within towns, where there's, even in Germany, a strict speed limit of 50 km/h. When there's a sign, that a kind of high speed race might be going on, the "Polizei" will check. Additionally, they are quiet effective and well equipped…. Hope, everything finally went well and the event could be finished, as planned. No batches, no speeding, when it's not allowed - that's the solution. Remember, we are the last country without an general speed limit at Highways (Autobahn's)… Thanks for the compliment regarding my 550. The car seem'd just perfect to me, so I jumped on it, even if it was, at that time, more expensive than comparable ones. Maybe, it's been the colour combination in addition to history…. Jürgen

Hi Daniel. Have you got to test the car properly on the Autobahn with the new exhaust? I am curious to know how you like it and how it works in higher speed.
