That was close. St. Louis has had a few great quality scoring changes.
I saw an article that said the Bruins reached out to the Patriots to see how they deal with the long layover between the AFC Championship game and the Super Bowl, and asked for advice regarding their wait for the Finals to start. It's great that the Bruins to have that kind of experience to tap into, and it's unfortunate for the Shark or Blues if Bill Belichick is helping to guide the Bruins.
Having watched the Sharks most of the year, this was the real sharks today. They are not fast. Their goal tending is not great. But they play really tough and hit like hell. Today the refs caught up with them. 7 power plays in one game including two 3 on 5. Jones let 3 goals go right past his glove which is the weakness of his game. He looked like a deer in the headlights on the penalty shot. I don't think he even moved.
"The Blues are the oldest active NHL team never to have won the Stanley Cup." In fact, they've never even won a game in the Finals. All the more reason to root for them!
A little off subject but the Golden Knights and city of Henderson are building a Youth Hockey center to get more kids in Las Vegas to play hockey https://www.reviewjournal.com/local/henderson/henderson-oks-golden-knights-community-ice-arena-for-downtown-1669573/
My question is why does the Finals start on Monday??? Why not Saturday? I'm sure even the players want to get going, they don't want to wait until Monday.
I thought the same thing. My guess is to get it on NBC nationally it had to be Monday and not Saturday. And if there's a game 7 it will be on a Sunday.
Pretty sure it was only because they needed more time between series, if the West went to game 7 on Thursday. Even for the Finals they have two travel days between game when the series switches cities.
That's nonsense. They could have had two start dates; Saturday if Blues win in 6, Monday if the series goes 7.
