I want some input as to what will be better to purchase a 458 Italia or the new F8 tribute that is schedule for Q1 2020 already own a 2018 488 GTB. But thinking in getting a second Ferrari. I love the Idea of the 458 Italia as it is the last of her generation to have the 4.5L 562HP 8C naturally-aspirated, compare to the 488 and the new F8 that both engine as somewhat similar 3.9L 660HP 8C vs 3.9L 710HP 8C

The better car is up to you. That is the best advice I can give. Ferraris are like children and they all have their own personalities. It is our duty as parents to love them unconditionally.
the 458 is the last NA V8 car (until they decide they want to make another). Th F8 is probably the last non-hybrid ******** mid-engined car from Ferrari.

Since the F8 is shared quite a bit with the 488 you will probably like the 458 more as the personality is more different.

You probably won't get an F8 in Q1/20 - most seem to agree first deliveries Q2/20

458 man. Your ears will enjoy the naturally aspirated sound when you decide to take out the 458 for a drive!

Let the 488 go before the real selling deluge begins.Pick up a 458 which are nicely depreciated already and order the F8 .Simples.

Seeing both in person, I honestly think that the 458 is the much better looking car from the two. Also - when you already own a turbo-V8 Ferrari, why get the same experiense twice?

Why not get a lambo or mclaren or Porsche? While 458 great car- it will be similar to 488 in how it looks, especially the interior. Mix it up. More than one great brand out there.

Ditch the 488 while you can. Prices are going to plummet once the f8 shows up. Buy a 458 and then something with a front engine v12.

Or just ditch the 488 and get a 458 speciale.

My question would be do you want an electric car ? If so given you have a 488 wait until their release.

If you don't , which I don't , especially in this league I would wait until you can order the last of the F8. And even maybe there could be a F8 Speciale.

I dreamt Ferrari all my life , I have one now. The best thing ever. Just wont consider any other brand no matter how good , how fast etc.

FERRAR IS FERRARI AND WILL ALWAYS BE

I love all these opinions about how the 488 is going to plummet in value from people who drive Hyundais in reality.

********. 488 with its low end growl and waaaaayyy better torque kicks the **** out if the 458 ..

I owned a Speciale and I find the sound and torque of my 488 spyder BETTER in normal everyday driving.

Seriously, how many times do you wind a car past 8,000 rpm in normal driving?

Sometimes the Ferrari Fake Fanboys here just make me want to laugh.

Nice car , however I had the opportunity to buy a 458 but didn't. The reason is from DAY 1 rear V8 always had side scoops this didn't. I just couldn't bring myself to purchase it. It the V8 rear trait.
Im glad they went Turbo., where am I going to red line it in 2nd gear. With the Turbo I can have real fun even in legal speeds.

BTW I laugh when I read people complaining about the 488 sound. Its different yes but its unique and absolutely great

Torque may be so, but sound ?
My Speciale howls F1...I honestly do reel it to 8000 rpm even in first gear just to listen to the exhaust...
    I think I’m a Ferrari Realboy.

Unless you get a Speciale, I don't see the need to go backwards from the 488. Put in for an F8 Spider and plan to sell the 488 when it arrives.

If you want two Ferraris at once, why not either consider a V12 grand touring model (F12?) or an older V8, like a 328 GTB?

So, you go to 8-9000 every time you take it out, over and over, correct?

And you think the ability to have that extra 1000 rpm, on those few times, outweighes the awesome everyday feel of vastly more torque the 488 has?

If I had unlimited money, I'd have a 458, 488 and F8, but if I had a 488 and was looking to buy the next car, I'd get a Porsche GT RS for track days or get a Portofino or Lusso so I can take my daughter to school in a Ferarri. (Or if I really loved torque more than RPM's, I'd get a P100D which will crush all our cars and carries my daughter. ;-) )

why not try an F12? that is what i am shooting for. I have a 458 so adding a front engine v12 would be a nice addition. I am sure the 488 is nice but seems a little tame for my liking.
