Do you keep it on the battery tender? New battery? Did you try to restart; if so, did the message up again? The battery on these is a common weak spot. I got similar messages when I first got my Cali. Replaced battery and tender, and knock on wood, not much issue since then.
    Congrats on the new car.

Thanks for response. I just got car 2 days ago. Used it Friday past and no engine light . Parked car did not use Saturday however yesterday and today light stays on. Then dealership said a technician would call me tomorrow. Car seems to
Run fine. It was just given a certified inspection prior to my purchase

When they look at the car, ask about how old the battery is. Mine came CPOd as well, and the battery was kaput. Roughly a little less than a year after purchase in my case, not two days.

They probably knew the check engine light was on, figured it was a redundant fault, cleared it, hoping it would not return. Well here you are. Send it back and get them to fix it. Do not just guess it's a battery issue..make sure it is, on their dime. Do nothing to the car, tell them.to pock it up and fix it. Do not drive it any further.

I appreciate advice. Problem is I am in New Jersey and dealer in Tampa. Probably should have bought local. Although car not sold as certified a certified check up was done

You should be able to send it to your local dealer, with all you paper work in hand. The selling dealer should compensate the repairing dealer. They are franchised after all, it should not matter where you bought the car. Let them fight it out.

I will pursue that option. The dealership I purchased car from also owned classic coach in Elizabeth Nj so that may be place to start
