Hi, I'm not sure to understand your question? Do you want examples of Avorio Safari (white cream) ? Unearthed: 1976 Ferrari 308 GT4 1975 Ferrari 308 GT4 at the Le Belle Macchine d'Italia Or do you want a white colour in maserati colour chart that could be close? It could be in that era MMD Glidden Salchi Bianco Polo Park 10.319 but this is not cream but "clinic" white. Maybe this one, but I don't know if it's a a beige or a "metallic beige" Beige Eurolac 106E52 If it's metallic than this is certainly close to gold. (like 16.818)
Thx for the reply. I'm looking for a Maserati paint that matches Salchi Avorio Safari 20-y-546. There is a member in the 308 gt4 section that said he used a Maserati paint that matched. Ive tried for 6 months and hes not replying. So I thought I would try the Maserati section. Thanks
That color is not listed for any of the Maserati models built in 1976. Not to say Maserati may have used it as a special request. What are you trying to get accomplished? Are you trying to retouch a car that is painted that color? Or perhaps return the car back to its original color? If its the later, is any of its original paint visible (inside the door, etc)? You may want to contact Glasurit as they seem to make an effort to support the classic car community Glasurit | Glasurit Classic Car Colors If you search their database you will find two Avorio Safaris listed for Fiats http://coloronline.glasurit.com/index.php?language=8 Ivan
Yes I'm wanting to return to original color. And I did see Fiat 285 &286 Safari Ivory not sure if they are the same as Avorio Safari, But it looks like a play on words. Thx
Happy New Year !!!!!! Can anyone help me to a modern color code for Volpe Argentata, Salchi code 106-E-44? This is a type of metalic grey that looks a bit purplish Thanks, Gerard Netherlands
Hi Gerard. You need Golden Eagle's thread here: http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/maserati/343597-new-colour-115-2166-any-suggestions-3.html It's a Glasurit formula, and looks superb IMHO. Pictures after the painting please! All the best. Mark.
Hi, I'm trying to establish what those colours are. Any ideas? Also, Does anyone know where I can find paint samples from 1957-1960 Maserati, Ferrari? Many thanks in advance! Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
My website has some samples, look in the "Paint and Colors" section: http://thecarnut.com/maseratimanuals.html I am familiar with the 3500GT Frua coupe and know that silver blue was not this car's original color. If you need to retouch the paint your best option is to have the current color matched. If on the other hand you are looking for a silver blue similar to that car, then Celeste Chiaro would be a good choice. The Touring 3500GT might be Rosso Cordoba. Ivan
Agreed! See Dupont code 5063. Also known as Burgundy or Black Cherry. Image Unavailable, Please Login Enjoy!
The paint on that 3500 GT is indeed Rosso Cordoba. Stunning colour, metallic red/purple that is changing depending on the light or angle: Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Thanks Froggie! I will definitely get some larger bended paint samples made so I can check out how the colour changes wit different angels.
After a check in our historical archive can confirm that your car was originally manufactured painted in "Avorio" (Ivory) (Salchi code 5994546). I have found two other paint codes for the color "Ivory" used on the Quattroporte III 4.9 model, but I don't know if the tone of the colors was just a little different from the Salchi paint..... Italver code 2422281 Italver code 2872706 Can you please help me find the modern paint for Salchi code 5994546 I have checked Detomaso colors, ferrari colors and Maserati colors I want to buy new paint for my car Image Unavailable, Please Login
Image Unavailable, Please Login The glidden Salchi for the Dino paint was 20-y-546. Fchat member 308nut gave me a Fiat 063 paint number that was a good match from his original paint. It was Automotive art Paint that was x ref to a fiat 063 code.
