The grey car is a high-performance variant! YIKES! Sent from my iPad using FerrariChat.com mobile app
I thought this was interesting.." The SF90 Stradale is also the first Ferrari sports car to be equipped with 4WD, a step necessary to allow the incredible power unleashed by the hybrid powertrain to be fully exploited, .... " T
In my opinion not very pretty especially the rear which is too fussy. Does not matter, can not afford one anyway. Pricing was supposed to slot in above the 812. Nonetheless it is good to see the very strong performance numbers although other than a track not sure where you can use them in the US. Then again, that is true for most of the new high end performance cars.
Also from the same doc... "Another major innovation is the steering wheel which now has a touchpad and a series of haptic buttons that allow the driver to control virtually every aspect of the car using just their thumbs. The central instrument cluster is now entirely digital with the first automotive application of a 16” curved HD screen which can be fully configured and controlled using the controls on the steering wheel. " Can live w/o a TV in the cockpit, but can't wait for the other stuff to filter down to other Ferrari. Just hope the arthritis in my hands isn't too bad by then. T
Just a higher spec production car. If you think of the 488/F8 lines up against the Huracan, then the SF90 Stradale takes a marketing slot that previously didn't exist at Ferrari, roughly comparable to the Aventador/whatever it's replacement is.
Frankly this is the design I would have expected for the “little brother”. I can’t see paying over a half a mill for this design. For that level of investment I would have expected something way more revolutionary, not evolutionary.
I really respect the design. For me it is a step forward. I loved Pininfarina's design above all, but since it's done deal I was not a fan of 488/812 styling. To me that era seemed like they wanted to do Pininfarina on their own. This one is imho really fresh, modern. I don't like the rear lights + exhausts for now but I think it will grow on me, especially in real. Interior looks modern as well and steering wheel looks refreshed (hated the one from 812/GTC4). 4WD, 1000CV, 1570kg (probably dry), we'll see how it drives. 25km range on electric engines alone, up to 135km/h. Displacement upped to 3990ccm.
