Ferrari is starting to be like Mac, with a new car every 10 seconds. I thought the new V8, mid engined car was the F8, or is this the La Ferrari replacement?

It looks pretty cool, but it just seems like more crap to go wrong!

It’s the way of Ferrari, now that they are a public company. We will see more model launches, not necessarily high volume. Which means the consumer has more vehicles to choose from, in different price and performance spectrums. Quality control is always an issue with more models but I suspect parts sharing minimizes that.

I just don’t like the marketing logic of offering the Asseto Fiorano Package upgrade. Either the SF90 Stradale regular version is extreme road and track ready, or it isn’t.

Yes, I understand it’s all about cash, but optimise the one car including carbon weight saving and sell it for more.

This isn't the LaFerrari replacement. It sits between F8 and LaF. It's a new segment.

Agree completely with this. It seems pure marketing to offer such a pack, why not simply make it standard and increase the price. I don't believe this car is being billed as a daily driver car so why not just make it as extreme from the beginning. Unfortunately too much of this car, in my opinion has marketing written all over it, the key being one example.

I have been pondering that as well.
Maybe there will not be any VS type cars any more just one car that you spec with AF if that is the style of car you want.
Given the number of models recently launched and to be launched I guess there may not be development time for VS cars.

With some luck they will soon launch a Fiorano upgrade package for the actual SF90 (F1 car);)

I was surprised that only about 25% of 918 buyers went for the Weissach.

not me, as that package is a "robbery" and the car is great also without it (and maybe safer, without magnesium wheels…).

    ciao

Yes and traditionally Ferrari has not resorted to such marketing spin.

One way to achieve the same weight savings for free is by dieting and losing 70 pounds. Also good for the heart :)

Does definitely feel like a bit of a cash grab, however, to me the significant factor here isnt the slight weight savings etc with the AF pack, but moreso the suspension changes.

Going to Multimatic shock absorbers will have signficant impact to road compliance, especially for those living near poor road conditions. Not sure if theyve confirmed if the axle lift will also be available or not with the AF pack suspension. Given how much TC/SSC/other electriconic systems are all intergrated here, I could imagine it being quite a different setup from "standard" SF90 to one with the AF pack.
