    I want big brakes, new carpet, new leather everywhere even though it does not need it, black skirts and top painted top match car, paint correction, Xpel coating, custom wheels, new headlights units, then replace everything I have ever read that caused failures for people (I'm mostly done with that), new window motors, high output alternator, new radiators and the lists goes on for pages, pretty much every thing on Superperformance's site. AND my example was nicer than most to begin with.

    Pace and patience is the hardest part... new, new, new, more, more more, nicer, nicer, nicer, I could drop 25K more without even trying with nothing actually broken or needed but boy would it be amazing:p

    Let me ask one more aobut F355.

    Is it common to get in huge troubles with her? If I google it I can easily find many "pro opinions" that it's one of the hardest Ferraris to maintain, how is your expirience and some FerrariChat cases?

    I bought last Sept don't regret it one bit. Payed premium fon it and I love driving it and now I plan on turning my 12,000 mile car into a 75,000 mile car, resale value be damed.

    That's not common no but it happens, that said the 355 IS finicky compared to the 348. Run searches out here and read up. If your thinking simple is better than the 328/Mondial/348 is for you.     Mario, the photograph in your post above was a Ferrari serviced by a mechanic who was not someone who specialised in Ferraris. Also, the car had not had the required fuel rail modification carried out as per the Ferrari recall.

    F355's are up to 24 years old. Any cars this old will need some special considerations. Yes, there are horror stories. I have a few of my own, but you can get these with new cars. A good PPI will take away most of your worries. I just made the mistake of choosing a PPI inspector well-known to the previous owner (so the inspector may have skimped on the check in certain areas based on word of mouth). Also, I didn't go back though the FChat forums where I recently found posts relating to the previous owner's attempts to fool the engine ECU that there was nothing wrong with the car (only a few months before I bought it). The last oversight alone cost me a premature engine out check, a new engine harness and a lot of expensive wiring checks (which would have cost thousands more if I had not done most of them myself).
    Actually, that premature engine-out check turned out to be a good thing. A partially shredded drive belt was discovered. The previous owner did the last major and didn't fit the belt covers properly. Don't be fooled by the previous owner having a squeaky clean garage with a hoist and lots of shiny tools.

    Don't over think it, follow the process these replies are outlining for you. Look at as many cars as feasible, different models, that should help you narrow the search parameters. Once you have a few specific cars in mind get them checked via PPI, review any receipts for prior service/repair and then you can make your decision based on real information. Qavion's post above is a good cautionary tale and kudos to him for being so honest.

    Go to a gathering of your local Ferrari club and talk to owners, I'm certain they will be happy to help you.

    We all understand it's a big step because we've been through it.
