Evidently the fire was so hot that it shrunk the Testarossa in to a 348!

There's just way too many underbonnet high-pressure fuel connections on fuel injected Ferrari -- my Honda Civic had 4; I stopped counting at 100 on my TR ;) Plus, 30 year old rubber low pressure fuel lines can leak too - especially the kind F uses with the reinforcement on the outside (so cracks in the rubber go unseen)...

Eek. So it sounds like I should put a fire extinguisher in my trunk?

until you reach this it may be too late

even this may be too far to reach, but of course better than nothing

best I think would be an inboard sytsem with 6 or 8 nozzles in the engine compartment to actuate with a switch from the driver. I have such system in my competition. but this I have is only for 1 time use, better would be for several uses. may be the fist shot will kill the fire and shortly later because of the heat it will burn again, then I can do nothing anymore :(

so good we talk here just now about this. next I will put also a fire extinguisher inside just behind the driver seat left top
