it took one more week to find the time but last weekend did the belts on the QV. my conclusion after doing all 3: Changing belts is still a shtty job! The 200km drive immideately after the job however made all the pain forgotten. Man, even after more than 10 years of ownership, driving any of these cars makes me happy instantly.

FINALLY (3 months late) put my car up on jack stands to begin a major service. This time around doing timing belts, valve gaps, shifter shaft seals, windage tray, pan gaskets, and all the usual general inspection stuff. My suspension is beat to pulp, but I'm leaving that (again) for another day. Image Unavailable, Please Login

Swapped Radios Prior was a Clarion DXZ635MP CD unit. 'bout time to bring it current. I wanted a no-frills simple (underline simple) unit that would read USB & handle my iphone. I dont use the radio much at all, but hands free driving is a must. A local shop recommended Pioneer MVH-S310BT. Those are cheap! Nobody will be breaking into my 308 to steal the radio Spent a few hours soldering the wires & covering with shrink tube. Now I have to figure out how to use the iphone app. Next up: replace the old sender (after I test the guage). It's been jumping from 0 to 90 (normal) a lot lately. Even when hot.

Those things last forever. I just changed mine last year after nine years - they still looked new. (Hard as rocks, though - alarming understeer on a tight wet corner)
