    Good afternoon, I apologize if this has been covered in detail before, but as we sit here in mid-2019 I am seeking current recommendations (i.e. updated compared to the owners manual) for a thorough 30K service for my newly acquired '89 328 GTS. My understanding is that the car sat for several years before my ownership, but prior to that was well maintained at a reputable dealer. I'm planning to purchase the 30K "kit" from Ricambi.

    My list so far includes:
    * Replace all fluids
    * Cam belts/tensioners and seals
    * Accessory belts
    * Filters
    * Spark plugs
    * T/stat and expansion tank cap

    Anything else you would recommend?

    Install a new water pump while your already there
    Install new plug wires and plug connectors
    use Valvoline Racing mineral oil 20/50 it also has a Zinc Additive
    I have used both Shell and Redline Synthetic gearbox oil
    Check your motor mounts, I replaced mine before I installed a brand new suspension and I felt a difference just with new mounts.

    I have done this with my 89 with 105K MIles and the motor still pulls hard and the gear box shifts like butter , I dont drive my car like a grandma either.

    Fuel lines, tank crossover hoses, filler hose.
    I would not replace the waterpump routinely. It's easy to check. If it's dry below the weep hole, the pulley turns smoothly and shows no noticeable play when wiggling on the pulley without the belt I would keep it. If not, rebuild it or have it rebuilt. New available waterpumps are plain crap.

    In addition to your list below:

    * Replace all fluids

    * Accessory belts

    I would add:

    Change all coolant hoses, all fuel hoses, all fuel vent hoses, some ignition related hoses.
    Rebuild the water pump, or get a new one (not too expensive). You can simply check it to see if it leaks, but sitting a long time is not kind to waterpump.
    Flush all your brake lines

    That would get you to a known good mechanical condition. Then depending on what else you find, you may want to take care of those items then.

    Check the tyres for wear and more likely age.
    If it’s been sitting for many years chances are the tyres are over 7 years old and hard as rocks.

    I replaced my water pump, it was not that expensive, especially compared to all the other parts and labor that your going to need in order to get the machine sorted.

    I meant, they are much too expensive, since they are indian or chinese crap.
