My good friend has a 1992 348 TB Speciale that he is thinking of selling but would like to get a feel for where the current market is before listing it. I personally saw the car this weekend and have the following observations:

    - 1992 348TB Speciale Canadian Delivery car
    - Around 25K kilometers (15.5K Miles)
    - Red / black interior
    - A little bit of sticky on some interior bits that my friend is debating fixing before sale
    - Full engine out major service last month (in anticipation of sale)
    - Looks very clean and original
    - Has original wheels and is unmodified
    - He has had the car for many years and is not a dealer or a flipper. It is his personal car.

Unfortunately I did not take any pics of the car. I have no skin in this deal and am just trying to help him out and maybe send someone interested his way. I know some collectors are trying to get examples of each of the 'special series' mid-engined Ferrari's and the coupe version of the 348 appears to be the hardest one of the bunch to get.

My friend would be after a market correct price so what does the F-Chat brain trust think that is?

Does it have the Kevlar seats? Or regular seats?

Canadian car meaning no mouse motor seatbelts, so that's a bonus.

It does have the Kevlar seats. I remember noticing that.

$75-85k USD in my opinion. Assuming it’s in good order. Get the sticky refinished.

I agree. The market is wonky right now, but that's a special car and I would hold out for the right buyer.

I think a bit higher than that. $85-95k seems a fair and achievable range.

If I’m not mistaken, the car you are referring to did not have the rare Kevlar seats. Correct?

I agree if buying from a dealer. My number assumed a private sale.

Also, if the car Rob C. is discussing truly is a Canadian Serie Speciale without the mouse tracks, it is a relatively rare and desirable North American 348.

Hard to tell with not many listings the past few years.
There were listings a couple years ago asking very high $$$$ but the question is did they sell...and if so, for how much.
75-85 seems realistic for it to move private. I agree, up to 90-95 if it was being sold by a dealer.

Thank you all for the feedback so far and please feel free to keep it coming.

Regarding pricing I cannot see there being a difference between the car being sold by a dealer or private especially a $10K spread. At the end of the day you are buying the car and it is that which holds the value. Who sells it is of little consequence and it is up to the buyer always to do their due diligence prior to purchase.
