Any news about the production numbers of the SF90? I've heard it's going to be produced in quite low numbers (2000-3000 cars in total)and Ferrari is closing the ordering process this Friday in some countrys.
    Ciao.

For real? How come it sounds like the info coming from the dealers instead of the manufacturers. I don't remember in any none limited series would close the orders that soon even before everyone knows the total of allocation numbers.

I don't think the production line will reach up to 3000 cars!

At that price point, and the fact that they're releasing so many new cars before the ones just announced a couple months ago are even produced... good luck and more power to them if they can get it. I'd agree with above poster and say the number they can sell = number produced.

This kind of stuff just makes me laugh. Serious, urgent, unverifiable

Is this sort of message originated by Ferrari marketing or an enthusiastic fan?

One thing for sure is it's certainly not from a reputable dealer.

If you don’t believe what I’ve said
Ask your dealer how many years there going to make the SF 90.

Well ppg70 quoted 2000 total ...the Car Guys video quoted 2000 a year .if its a 1 year production both are correct.

Dealer above says 4 year production which makes sense to me being a normal production car ...

Time will tell .Maybe in 2030 we might find out ;)

Is there a a market for a 600k car at 2000 units a year?? Seems high to me.

Making 2000 means there should be a room for 2000 production slots let alone demands.

    I don’t see it happening.

Agree it remains to be seen who will actually go for it.I guess they crunched the numbers and have a pretty good idea of theoretical demand.

Sure does. Look at Aventador sales to get an idea although SF90 is pricier.

Why would Ferrari spend a ton of $$$ in R&D then not supply as many cars as they can sell?.I find it hard to believe they have already a replacement for the car coming in the next couple of years.

2021 line up normal production.11000+ . ( plus some Limited cars)

    LB Hybrid 3K
    SF90 Stradale Hybrid 2K
    Portofino Hybrid? 2K
    Purosanque Hybrid 2K
    812 Replacement ? 2K

They have a huge expectation that folks will actually want the hybrid product at the elevated prices.

I laughed also reading that. Its such a ridiculous statement. I think you're being kind in your assessment. My reaction was a little more emotional.

I doubt 11,000 looks anything like that. Historically the 458/488/F8 line represents about half of production. The California about a quarter, the F12/812 about 1,000 and the FF/Lusso about 500-750 as an average production during model life.

    More likely:
    LB 5k
    SF90 1k
    Portofino 3k
    PuroSangue 5k+
    812 replacement 1.5k

You’ll notice that production in my estimate is over 15k. The PuroSangue will almost certainly do that. It has for everyone else before, including Lamborghini so Ferrari have to mess up big time not to follow suit. And there are just not enough people to warrant average production of over 1k pa for a car like SF90, especially with a replacement 812 and the introduction of LB in the range. Maybe first year is 2k but after that it will drop off and Ferrari will not overproduce it, especially with everything else they want to tempt you with. We’re both guessing though.

From what I have read 25 Australian Ferraristas went to the reveal and each signed up. Allocation FULL.

Man I real sorry for any one who signed up for the SF90 that is from the state of Victoria because as from 1st July we are going to be hit with a state luxury tax of 9% on top of the federal 33% luxury tax on top of the stamp duty 5% on top of the 10% GST. Add other fees and dealer delivery you are talking around 60%

I dare say they will be paying around 1.25 MILLION AT LEAST.

Don’t laugh. Dealers in Europe called several friends of mine and informed them that the order book was to close Friday (yesterday), urging them to place their orders. I got the frantic calls from my friends trying to decide whether to pull the trigger or not. I am sure this is only the first batch and -like the 812- the books will open again, but it is 100% verifiable that this happened.
I placed my order the day after the world premiere, so I have no idea if this also applied to my dealer, but I do know he had 15 confirmed orders after just the first day (29th), which is well over a year of allocations. Who knows where he ended up after the three days of viewings in Maranello.
There is no doubt that the car is popular and price-wise it is coming in below the level most people expected (mid-300s EUR before taxes and options, which means decently specced cars can be had well below 500k)

That’s interesting. Like you said it’s probably the first batch . I’m a tad bit more cynical about the Ferrari marketing machine. I’m not laughing at the notion of the car being popular. I’m laughing at the panicked rumors that it’s sold out already. We shall see.

I was told by my dealer pricing in US is going to be 550k or so before options . Well below 500k in Euros does sound a lot cheaper than anticipated.
