I think the Cali/Cali30 will age very well just like the original did. Look at the ugly cars these days. No sexy curves. In 20 years the Cali will look better than these lifeless angular tech messes. But looks are very subjective. The 458 is without a doubt the best looking Ferrari in the last 20 years.

The Pista to me is the prettiest Mid Engined Ferrari since the 288 GTO. I saw one on the street the other day and it stopped me in my tracks. That and the F12tdf will be the two Ferraris I will remember as the ultimate cars from my youth. They are both post-pininfarina (sort of). I still think Ferrari should've kept Pininfarina close.

You know what else is causing such awkward designs? The size of the cars. They're just too damn big these days. All these cars would instantly be better looking if they were smaller.

The F8 beats it but I agree on the Pista. Good looking machine.

I'm not convinced about the SF90 yet. The Portofino suffers from a boring Honda front end.

Masterpiece you say? I agree, of course! Hell, it holds it's own against a 288 GTO! :)

Although I have to admit I'm a bit disenchanted to find out the hipster kids like them! Arg.

If they had carried on with PF, the SF90 would have been the beauty that Pininfarina Battiista is and not the (at least for me) the unbalanced design that we got. Manzoni has done some amazing things at Ferrari post-PF, but the old masters win every time.

Clean and flowing lines...sexy, more performance than usable, aero solutions that don’t dominate the design.
A true high watermark for Ferrari...looks like best days are behind us.

Pista is still at it's heart a very heavily restyled 458 which is a Pininfarina design at its core.

Ahhh but it’s so much more. Pista is essentially a beautiful challenge car that’s street legal. Best of both worlds.

In order of beauty the last 20 years...LaFerrari, Challenge Stradale, Pista, Speciale, 458. (IMO of course, I’ve never cared much for the front engine look)

Well, I'm sure many would disagree with me.

Funny enough same exact designer for the 288 and Mondial.

I live in Woking, home town of McLaren. A couple of years back one of their designers rented the house across the road from us. We got chatting one day and he came over to our house to have a good look at the Daytona. It was quite interesting for me as instead of the usual thing of people staring at the car and saying how pretty it was, he was more interested in how the various lines and curves fitted together to form the overal shape. The conversation moved onto McLaren versus Ferrari and he admitted that while McLaren could build a technically better car than Ferrari (his words) they still could not match the theatre of Ferrari in terms of noise and sense of occasion.

Since then it strikes me as interesting the new Ferraris have moved more towards the technical focus of McLaren than the other way around?

Don't forget that Pininfarina was behind many 'supposed' Ferrari design failures.

(Basically all the 2+2s, sans GT4 - which it's Bertone design was also panned nonetheless)
    FF - Hatchback design
    612 - strange scallops
    365 GTC/4 - strange proportions
456 - many say too boring
California - how many butt jokes are out there
    Mondial - nuff said
    365/400/412 - too boxy
    330 GTE 2+2 - 4 lights

    &

Enzo - I remember it was very polarizing when it came out.
F50 - Clarkson voted this worst Ferrari of all time
    348 - many hate the 80's design

let me say I disagree with the above sentiments and like the design of all of them listed (yes, I prefer GTE SII better, but won't turn down an SI.) The black horse engenders strong emotions (for better or worse) - case in point; take a look at the QP. It has escaped the wrath of 2+2, something tells me if a Prancing Horse badge was on it - it would go from "one of Sergio's best designs" to being added to the list above.

I think design overall is trying to hard. Look at the Lexus RX SUV. They had it perfect with the egg shape. Women loved it, and they sold like hot cakes. Then Lexus went to the angry insect on LSD look. Why?
